Comet’s story is one of resilience and a fresh start. He was rescued off the streets in heartbreaking condition—his coat so severely overgrown it had turned into painful dreadlocks. But those days are behind him now. After a much-needed shave and some TLC, Comet is feeling like a brand-new pup and is ready to begin his next chapter. This 5-year-old, 13 lb Yorkie mix is as sweet as they come. Comet is friendly with everyone he meets—new people, other dogs, and even cats! He has a playful, happy spirit and loves squeaky toys, rolling around on the couch, and soaking up all the affection he can get. He’s a total cuddle bug who enjoys giving kisses and being pet. After everything he’s been through, Comet is more than ready for a life filled with comfort, love, and cozy snuggles. He has been fully vetted to include a recent dental. His soft coat will require regular upkeep and grooming as it continues to grow in. Comet's adoption fee is $500 and includes his neuter, microchip, vaccines/deworming/flea treatment current, recent dental and grooming. Story
Rocky is a very sweet young dog rescued from an abusive home. Rocky's owner used to shock him with a shock collar just for fun. On top of that, he was extremely underweight. When family members saw the abuse, they contacted rescue for help. They were able to get the owner to surrender Rocky, but will not testify or file a complaint against their family member. We are grateful that they intervened on Rocky's behalf. Rocky is safely in one of our best foster homes. He has been examined by our vet, vaccinated, neutered and chipped. He has been gainig weight, and has blossomed into a happy loving little dog. Rocky needs time to get to know new people and situations, so would not be good in an active home with a lot of visitors or small children. Once Rocky feels safe, he is extremely loving and devoted. He's very smart and sweet. Rocky's ideal home would be with a single adult female, preferably someone who works from home or is retired. He has a lot of love to give and just needs time to decompress. If you'd like get a lot of doggie love, can you be Rocky's hero? He's about 1 1/2 yrs old, and healthy. We're adopting out to the Southern California area. She loves to snuggle and has settled in beautifully with dogs of all sizes and ages.   Zsa Zsa does have a birth defect called ectopic ureter. She has already had surgery with limited success, which means she may always have a little leakage. She is house trained and may just need to wear a cute little pantie from time to time—something she takes in stride. Because of this, she is considered a special-needs adoption, but she doesn’t let it slow her down one bit.
