DOB 2/24/19 Colby is a 7-year-old long-haired silky terrier mix with the sweetest soul you could ever meet. Six years ago, we rescued him from a heartbreaking hoarding situation. He was adopted into what we hoped would be his forever home, and for six years he was a beloved companion. Sadly, due to a recent divorce, his family made the decision to surrender him back to us, as neither person was able to keep him. It’s a very sad and disappointing situation — especially for a little dog who thought he had already found his happily ever after. Through it all, Colby has remained gentle, loving, and hopeful. He gets along well with dogs and cats, doesn’t shed, and truly lives for snuggling with his humans. He’s past the puppy phase but still has plenty of love and companionship to give. His favorite place is right next to you — on the couch, in a cozy chair, or curled up in bed. Colby doesn’t understand why his world changed, but he wakes up every day ready to love again. Tiny is a 11 year old, 5 lb. female Maltese. She was surrendered with her Shih Tzu brother Domino. Would like to adopt them together as they are bonded. Her prior owners husband had a stroke plus she was pregnant and felt it would be best to rehome them since she didnt have time for them. Shes such a cutie patootie. She sleeps above my head on a pillow and does not move the whole night. She is just happy to finally be loved.Her little personality is coming out to and she loves to bark and even play now as well. Her and her brother Domino both enjoy going on walks and our 2x per week trip to the dog park! Fuji is a gorgeous Shih Tzu, about 8 1/2 years old and 15 pounds. Despite his adorable looks, Fuji has been waiting for his angel for a very long time. He needs a single person, with no other pets, who is extra kind, patient, and compassionate, who truly wants to give a special boy a chance, and doesn't mind when he occasionally misbehaves. For the most part, Fuji is a wonderful boy who loves to hang out with people, receive affection and belly rubs, and go for walks. On a rare occasion, something sets him off and he bites. This has occurred when he was in a home with 2 people, and it's possible that he was being protective of his favorite person, although we cannot know for sure. At the rescue, when with one person, Fuji is friendly, nice, and delightful to be with. He certainly deserves a chance at a happy life, and we believe this is a definite possibility with the right person. Marnie is a bright, happy little Shih Tzu girl. She is about 4 years old and 12 pounds. Marnie loves to be with people and is very sweet and friendly. She enjoys snuggling and affection, but also likes to romp around in the yard and go for leash walks. This little cutie has an adorable, playful side and enjoys toys and silly hand games. Marnie has been at the rescue for over one year. She has adjusted nicely to being around the other dogs and enjoys playtime in the yard with her new pals. Marnie’s tongue sticks out for no fault of her own, as she was born with a small jawbone. She is a healthy, delightful, young girl, but she keeps getting passed by for our more “perfect “ looking Shih Tzus.
