Story
Lux is a great dog that enjoys walks with a leash, traveling, spending time cuddling, and eating treats. He is very scared of large dogs, but does well with small dogs and cats. He absolutely loves teenagers and older children. He is terrified of busy toddlers. He is scared of remote controls and cell phones being in his face as he was rescued from an abuser who used to use these items to harm him. He likes to relax in the sun and he can sit hours resting with owner while getting back massages. He is comfortable with grooming, boarding, and daycare. He gets a little anxious on car trips but loves road trips. He loves riding in his strollers on shopping trips and enjoys going to Starbucks for his Puppicino. He is also crazy about Cornbread.

A foster-to-adopt option is available for me, giving us the chance to get to know each other before making it official! Meet Angus! This 8-year-old, 11 lb. pup is full of personality and loves the company of other dogs, making him a wonderful fit for a home with canine companions. He would do best in an adult-only household and requires a fenced-in yard where he can safely enjoy his independence and spunky spirit. Angus is not a fan of cats, so he’s looking for a feline-free home. Angus has vestibular disease of unknown origin. Thankfully, his condition is currently stable and has not progressed, though the cause remains uncertain. Angus currently weighs about 11lbs., is approximately 8 years old (est. birth date 02/14/2017), and his adoption fee is $85. Angus has been neutered, is up to date on all vaccinations & preventatives, and is microchipped. If you want to know more about Angus, please complete a survey at https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/FKDS/Dog. Meeting our dogs is by appointment only. After submitting a survey, an adoption counselor will contact you within 72 hours to give you more information about the dog you are interested in adopting and to arrange for you to meet. Name: T'Challa Birthday: January 1st, 2018 Age: 7 He is a sweet and generally chill dog with a loving personality once he's comfortable, but he does come with a few challenges that a new owner should be prepared for. He has a history of being aggressive, particularly during grooming and when it comes to guarding his food. He's also had limited interactions with other dogs and was unfortunately attacked by another dog a few years ago, which has understandably shaped some of his current behavior. Despite these challenges, I genuinely believe he has the potential to thrive in the right environment. Ideally a household without children, preferably an adult male who has experience with dog behavior or is willing to invest time and patience into training and building trust. With consistency, attention, and a calm, understanding home, I know he can become the amazing companion he's meant to be. My only goal is to find him a home where he can feel safe, understood, and cared for.
