A foster-to-adopt option is available for me, giving us the chance to get to know each other before making it official! Meet Angus! This 9-year-old, 11 lb. pup is full of personality and loves the company of other dogs, making him a wonderful fit for a home with canine companions. He would do best in an adult-only household and requires a fenced-in yard where he can safely enjoy his independence and spunky spirit. Angus is not a fan of cats, so he’s looking for a feline-free home. Angus has vestibular disease of unknown origin. Thankfully, his condition is currently stable and has not progressed, though the cause remains uncertain. Angus currently weighs about 11lbs., is approximately 9 years old (est. birth date 02/14/2017), and his adoption fee is $85. Angus has been neutered, is up to date on all vaccinations & preventatives, and is microchipped. After submitting a survey, an adoption counselor will contact you within 72 hours to give you more information about the dog you are interested in adopting and to arrange for you to meet.     Roscoe Ricky is an adorable 10-month-old, 25-pound Shih Tzu or Havanese mix.  This happy, exuberant boy absolutely loves people and craves affection from his humans. If you’re looking for a dog who will greet you with excitement and soak up every belly rub and back scratch, Roscoe Ricky is your guy! He’s full of playful puppy energy and would thrive in a home with another fun, playful dog or an active family who will include him in their daily adventures. Roscoe Ricky is incredibly friendly and gets  along great with kids (we recommend kids 8 and older) and other dogs, making him a wonderful companion for a busy household. Roscoe prefers a house without cats. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.  Do Not Apply for a pet with PENDING in the name bar.  They have been matched with a home, but not adopted yet. Kiwi was born 5/30/25. She is sweet and sassy, a perfect little girl! She is friendly and social with everyone. She likes playing with her toys. She is great with older children. She needs work on housetraining. She is smart and catches on quickly. Adoption fee is 950.00. Thank you for choosing rescue! We are volunteers with other commitments in addition to rescue. Our time is very limited. Therefore, we request a  $20.00  donation through paypal in order to process and expedite your application. This shows that you are truly interested in adoption. Your application will remain on file for a year. Applications are available at www.eastcoasthumanesociety.com under forms/application. Donation should be made through Paypal at www.eastcoasthumanesociety.com. We are only available by phone after you have an approved application. All pets are located in the southeast. Transport is available to the NE for an additional $300.00 transport fee. We do not adopt in MA, RI due to import laws. Residents MUST pick up in CT. All dogs over 8 months will be spayed or neutered and heartworm tested. All dogs and puppies have been vaccinated,microchipped, dewormed and treated for other parasites. Please read the FAQ on our website for additional information. Adoption fees are cash or money order only.
