Story
Lux is a great dog that enjoys walks with a leash, traveling, spending time cuddling, and eating treats. He is very scared of large dogs, but does well with small dogs and cats. He absolutely loves teenagers and older children. He is terrified of busy toddlers. He is scared of remote controls and cell phones being in his face as he was rescued from an abuser who used to use these items to harm him. He likes to relax in the sun and he can sit hours resting with owner while getting back massages. He is comfortable with grooming, boarding, and daycare. He gets a little anxious on car trips but loves road trips. He loves riding in his strollers on shopping trips and enjoys going to Starbucks for his Puppicino. He is also crazy about Cornbread.

A foster-to-adopt option is available for me, giving us the chance to get to know each other before making it official! Meet Angus! This 8-year-old, 11 lb. pup is full of personality and loves the company of other dogs, making him a wonderful fit for a home with canine companions. He would do best in an adult-only household and requires a fenced-in yard where he can safely enjoy his independence and spunky spirit. Angus is not a fan of cats, so he’s looking for a feline-free home. Angus has vestibular disease of unknown origin. Thankfully, his condition is currently stable and has not progressed, though the cause remains uncertain. Angus currently weighs about 11lbs., is approximately 8 years old (est. birth date 02/14/2017), and his adoption fee is $85. Angus has been neutered, is up to date on all vaccinations & preventatives, and is microchipped. After submitting a survey, an adoption counselor will contact you within 72 hours to give you more information about the dog you are interested in adopting and to arrange for you to meet.     Hi, I’m Liberty - a feisty, adorable, 9-year-old, Maltese/Poodle mix weighing just 9 pounds. My foster mom says I’m fluffy (I think that’s her sweet way of teasing me). I’ve had a little anxiety in the past, so I sometimes bark when I feel unsure, but I’ve made wonderful progress. Once I know I’m safe, I truly shine. I just need a calm environment and a family who understands me. I’m spayed, fully house-trained, crate-trained, and up to date on all my vaccinations. I even had a dental cleaning! I know my basic commands and take pride in being a well-mannered little lady. My dream home would be quiet and peaceful, with no small children, no shared walls, and a fenced yard where I can enjoy fresh air and sunshine. I’m a sweet girl with a gentle heart, looking for a safe, warm, and loving place to rest my head. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.  Do Not Apply for a pet with PENDING in the name bar.  They have been matched with a home, but not adopted yet. Kiwi was born 5/30/25. She is sweet and sassy, a perfect little girl! She is friendly and social with everyone. She likes playing with her toys. She is great with older children. She needs work on housetraining. She is smart and catches on quickly. Adoption fee is 950.00. Thank you for choosing rescue! We are volunteers with other commitments in addition to rescue. Our time is very limited. Therefore, we request a  $20.00  donation through paypal in order to process and expedite your application. This shows that you are truly interested in adoption. Your application will remain on file for a year. Applications are available at www.eastcoasthumanesociety.com under forms/application. Donation should be made through Paypal at www.eastcoasthumanesociety.com.
