Looking for a calm, loyal buddy to share your days (and couch) with? Meet Tofu, an 11 year young sweetheart who’s the perfect mix of mellow and affectionate. Tofu’s favorite pastime is simply being near his people. He’ll quietly follow you from room to room with his tippy tap toes, happy just to be part of whatever’s going on. When it’s time to relax, he’s a world-class snuggler and loves curling up beside you or using his doggie stairs to join you on the bed or couch. He’s wonderfully well-mannered, fully house-trained with regular 3-4 hour daytime breaks (8 hours overnight!) and does great in his crate when you’re away. Tofu thrives on a predictable routine, mealtimes, walks, and naps all in rhythm make him happiest. Recently fresh from a dental cleaning, Tofu’s in great shape and doesn’t act a day over 8! He’s polite with cats and enjoys the company of other chill, low-energy dogs. You’ll rarely hear him bark, he’s quiet, gentle, and content to simply be your best little shadow. If you’re searching for a calm, affectionate companion who’s easy to love and even easier to live with, Tofu might just be your perfect match.

Please meet Josie the 11 year old Silkie Terrier! Josie recently and hearbreakingly lost her adoptive mom, so she has rejoined us at TNT. She's understandably a bit nervous with all this disruption, but we promised to help her find another wonderful family to call her own for the rest of her days! Josie weighs about 7 pounds and she does well around other dogs. She would probably be fine with cats and kids, too. She really likes to be with people and always seeks a warm lap to snuggle on! Josie's adjusting to her new routine, including potty routines and using the stairs in her foster home. She's not a huge fan of the crate - why stay in the crate when there are humans to hang out with?! She loves to follow the humans around, seeking attention wherever she can get it. She will do well in a home that can provide her patience and reassurance, and importantly, a warm lap to snuggle on! If you're home a lot, or willing to take her on your adventures, she will be your best bud for all of it. Her amazing ears and cute little tongue make her the most perfect pocket sized princess, and we are sure she'll win you over quickly with her sweet face! Please apply if you'd like to meet her! He was found running loose in a subdivision, charming everyone he met. Much like his fellow canine adventurers, he was rescued multiple times, but his determination to roam led him to cleverly dig his way out of every yard he was placed in. He is eager to trade his escaping days for a secure yard and a forever family who can give him the attention and secure environment he craves. Pickles is a true social butterfly who thrives on human interaction and affection. He promises to be a delightful addition to any family. He was born around 12/03/2024 and weighs 14.9 pounds.  During his vet visit, it was noted that he has a Grade 1 heart murmur, which is the mildest form of the condition and is easily manageable. This little diagnosis hasn't slowed him down one bit! If you’re looking for a joyful, affectionate companion who is full of life and personality, Pickles is your perfect match. This little guy is full of charm, always up for some time in the play yard, and never says no to attention from his favorite volunteers. He’s friendly, social, and has a big personality packed into a compact body. Banjo’s story hasn’t been an easy one. After being found on the streets and fully vetted by our team, we searched for his owners for months. Just as he was about to be adopted, his previous owners came forward. Sadly, a year later, Banjo was found on the streets again, and we were called to take him back into our care. His former owners, currently without stable housing, agreed it was best that Banjo find a safe, secure forever home. Due to past food insecurity, Banjo can be food-aggressive with other dogs. He’s shown no aggression toward people and does well with small dogs, but may be a bit pushy with larger ones. With a bit of patience and structure, Banjo has all the potential to thrive. Story
Popcorn is about 18 lbs., 15 years old and according to Google lens, a West highland terrier. Animal Care Services thought he was a Maltese mix and foster mom thinks he could be a Schnauzer/Maltese mix but knows for sure that he is the cutest scruffy EVER! His journey hasn't been all snuggles and treats as he lived on someone's apartment patio for years, lying in poop, grass and other debris until Animal Care Services came for him and God's Dogs Rescue was able to save the little scamp. While he still loves his humans, other gentle pups his size (cats unknown) and his squishy toys and chewy, understandably he has a few emotional scars especially regarding vet visits and grooming. Slow, patient progress in these areas has helped him be more confident, but will need a patient adopter to help him adapt. Things that make Popcorn super happy are spending time with his humans after he gets to know them, car rides and walks in the park. He loves, loves his squishy toys and generally carries one around with him. His most favorite game is for his person to chase him and pretend to take his squishy away. He also like to run zooms and if there isn't a person to play with he will often throw his toys for himself. Doesn't that just make you want to throw his stuffies so he can play?? He's a healthy guy for his age with just a few old man issues (beginnings of cataracts) that he takes supplements for and should continue taking. His liver enzymes were high when tested but he is on a med to help them normalize. Can you give this boy the right lap to live in?? He needs very patient/knowledgeable adopters, no children- adult only because he will bite if afraid... It is a work in progress but he is becoming the goofy boy he was meant to be while living on the nasty hot and freezing porch for most of his 14 yrs :( GIVE HIM A CHANCE!!! Local adoption only $200 (in TX)
