Story
Little Bear is a 13 month old, 11 pound Yorkshire Terrier mix. He is an adorable and loving little guy with classic terrier puppy spunk, athleticism and a combination of affection, playfulness and independence. He possesses a bit love for toys!
Bear is currently fostered in Linn County, a little over an hour from Eugene, Corvallis, Sisters and Salem. A little over 2 hours from Portland and Newport. We will meet part way if we can, for those who come from a distance. Easy meet from Bend, too!
He is vaccinated, neutered, micro-chipped and de-wormed. His adoption fee is $500.
This handsome guy is house trained, leash trained, rides well in the car and is off leash recall trained to come for a treat. He has been mastering skills a mile a minute since arriving in rescue. We seek a no crate home for Bear.
Bear is active so we seek daily walkers who will include Bear in their fun activities.
Bear loves to play with an adult dog over twice his size that we have in rescue, We would love to see him have a playmate in his new home or in his adopter's friend group. He loves toys and likes to nap under furniture.
Though he has not been exposed to calmer children that we know of, we believe that he would enjoy kids with great dog manners..
Bear does not bark too much, but his bark is high pitched, so he may not be the guy those who are particularly sensitive to noise.
A great home and must haves for Little Bear include:
1. An owned or stable renter home with a securely fenced yard.
2. Adopters who will walk him daily, plus include him in their fun activities.
3. People who will treat him as a family member, ideally let him sleep in, near, or underneath their bed, as he loves. Baby gates are fine until you know that he is okay on his own.
4. Rescue dog savvy folks who understand that Bear is a puppy with a less than stable past, and that his future as a great dog will depend on his people's guidance and love.
5. Another playful pup would be icing on Bear's adoption cake!

Our process is thorough, quick and personal. We will screen your application, answer your questions, offer additional information, then, once approved, we will schedule a meet. If we all agree at the meet that it is a great match, Bear goes home with you.
