Story
When Oliver first came to Rescue Row, he was almost completely hairless. After months of healing and growing his coat back, he finally had enough hair for his very first trip to the groomer! His groomer said Oliver was such a calm, well-behaved boy. The only time he wasn’t a fan was when it came time to do his nails! Oliver is ready to find his forever home! Although he is 12 years old, Oliver still has plenty of pep in his step, especially when he hears the treat bag! He does great with other dogs, as long as they’re calm and happy to simply hang out. He will occasionally play, but he’s much more interested in lounging around. His favorite places are his open kennel or a lap on the couch. Oliver is potty trained, although he may mark during his first day or so in a new environment. He is friendly with everyone he meets and rides great in the car. Oliver is a mix of 18 different breeds with his main breed being 69% Yorkshire Terrier and he weighs 16 lbs. He eats prescription D/D food and takes daily Apoquel and over-the-counter Zyrtec. If you think Oliver could be the perfect addition to your family, please submit an adoption application at www.rescuerowinc.org. *Please check your junk email folder if you do not receive a response from a Rescue Row member within 48 hours. *You must live within an hour of the DFW Metroplex because we do trial adoptions and require a homecheck *Our adoption fees are as follows (paid by cash or a check made out to Rescue Row): Dogs 12 weeks-6 months old: $300 adoption fee  Dogs 7 months and older: $275 adoption fee  Rescue Row is a 501(c)3 (non-profit) all volunteer dog rescue organization serving the DFW Metroplex. We are dedicated to rescuing dogs in shelters, dogs in abusive or neglectful situations, and dogs surrendered by their owners because of difficult circumstances. We place dogs in loving, responsible, committed permanent homes, following a comprehensive adoption process, which includes taking considerable care in finding good matches and educating prospective adopters about the responsibilities and costs of bringing a dog into their homes and lives. Dogs in our care are spayed or neutered, microchipped, receive all appropriate veterinary care and treatment, and placed in nurturing foster homes while they await placement in their permanent homes. We assist dogs in distress without regard to age, breed or ease of placement. Dogs in the greatest need take priority. Finally, we strive to work with shelters and other rescue and humane organizations to develop a network of supporters and volunteers in order to create a better world for homeless dogs. ##2669101##

Story
Meet Alex! Alex is an adorable 2-year-old Yorkie mix weighing approximately 7 pounds who is ready to find his forever home! He was found as a stray near Eva Place in Rockwall on September 7, 2026, and after completing his required stray hold without being reclaimed, Alex is now available for adoption. Alex is a friendly, playful guy who enjoys spending time with his people. He has done well with dogs around his size, but he has not yet been introduced to larger dogs. Cats may also be a new experience for him. If you currently have another dog in the home, a meet and greet is recommended prior to adoption to help ensure everyone is a good match. Like any dog transitioning into a new environment, Alex will need a family willing to give him time, patience, and consistency while he settles in and learns his new routine. Alex's adoption fee is $125. He is neutered, microchipped, current on annual vaccines, and heartworm negative. If you are interested in making Alex part of your family, please submit an online adoption application at: https://rockwalladoptions.com/adoptfoster/adoption-application/ Alex is ready to trade his stray days for a lifetime of love—could that be with you?  All animals, unless otherwise noted in their description, are at 1825 Airport Rd. in Rockwall, TX. Hours of operation are Monday-Friday 9 am to 6 pm and Saturdays 9 am to 5 pm. For questions, please call 972-771-7750 ext. 2 or email info@RockwallAdoptions.com. IMPORTANT NOTICE: All shelter animals are required by Texas state law to be spayed/neutered. RAC completes this procedure at the age of 12 weeks. If you are adopting a pet under the age of 12 weeks or an animal that has not yet been spayed or neutered, you will be required to return the pet to our facility on the agreed upon date set at the time of adoption.
