Shelter FAQs
We started rescuing dogs in 2001 and became a non profit animal rescue in 2006 out of the sheer need to save animals from the streets, and pick up the ones dropped at our doorstep. We are in a poor, rual area and try to save any dog from going to the local county shelter. We promote spay/neuter, and work diligently to find the right home for each dog so it can be forever. We always need volunteers to walk and socialize our dogs.
We are located approx. 50 miles east of Dallas and have adoptive families drive from Dallas and beyond to meet our wonderful animals. We are an outdoor shelter on 22 acres and are a happy place where pets wait for their forever family. .

- Take the Pet HomeIf you are a good match with the dog you have chosen, the dog usually goes home with you the same day.
Additional adoption info
We have a simple contract ensuring that our rescue will be well taken care of, medically and physically, will never be tied or chained, and that a secure fenced area is provided for outdoor play. We want for each a loving home and to become part of a family. Every animal is up to date on shots and spay/neuter is required.
