***Loving Senior seeks family for companionship and love***Hello, my name is Sterling…I was owner surrendered to Guardians after being attacked by another dog. None of my injuries were life threatening, but I was so very scared and confused. The kind people at GOFAR helped me get the medical care I needed as well as to start feeling safe again.I am 10 years old and the rescue was told I was a pure shih tzu. I am a little chonky….but that’s just more to snuggle with! I walk extremely well on my leash and love going for leasurely strolls. I am doing pretty good with my house manners using pee pads; I just need some help establishing a routine/schedule. I get along well with other small dogs and even the kittens here at the rescue.My $250 adoption fee includes vet check, up to date vaccines, microchip, deworming, neuter and heartworm test (negative), all already done. Joy is a breeder discard. She’s a Maltese, needs TLC. Approximately 6 years old. She’s healthy, but needs a full dental cleaning with several extractions and spay surgery. Adoption fee will be determined as donations and funding will be needed to pay for the dental. But she’s a lover, k very sweet and the perfect lap dog. Loves other dogs as well. Story
Copito is a 3-year-old Shih Tzu with a strong, expressive personality. He is loving and loyal, and does best in a home where he isn’t left alone for long periods. When alone too long, he can become anxious (crying/scratching doors). He is very attached to his family and especially bonded to my wife. He follows you everywhere, makes eye contact, and likes sleeping close to us. He is house-trained and goes outside for walks every morning and evening. Like many small dogs, Copito can be territorial. He loves toys and will bring them to you; he may growl or nip if you try to take a toy away—more like intense play/guarding than true aggression. He has never bitten or shown aggression toward strangers. He loves wearing his walking vest, enjoys toys, and thrives as an emotional companion. Best match: a calm adult or couple who can offer time, affection, and stability. He responds to basic commands in Spanish and English (mostly Spanish at home).
