Hello, Dolly. This is Get A Life Pet Rescue, Dolly. And it is so nice to have you rehab here where you belong.
When little Dolly came to us, life had not been kind to her. She arrived with a severe eye injury, far too underweight, and far too malnourished for the dental work and spay she so desperately needed. But she came to us, and that changed everything. We provided the surgery to remove her injured eye and get her comfortable, and from that moment on, this tiny five-pound Powder Puff began the most important comeback of her life.
You're lookin' swell, Dolly. I can tell, Dolly. You're still glowin', you're still crowin', you're still goin' strong.
And she is. Thanks to her foster parents' care and compassion. Dolly is gaining ground, gaining weight, and gaining the kind of trust in people that took patience and love to earn. She is becoming more interactive, more affectionate, and more herself with every passing week in her foster home. When she sees her foster parents reaching for her treats, this girl does not just sit politely. She dances. She pushes gently on your leg with all five pounds of her enthusiasm, letting you know in no uncertain terms that she is here, she is happy, and she would very much like that snack now.
Dolly is a Chinese Crested Powder Puff, one of the most gloriously unique and tenderhearted breeds you will ever have the privilege of knowing. Soft, cloud-like fur like the popular Maltese breed we tagged her with for her to be more visible in searches. She deeply bonds to her foodie people. Dolly is the kind of dog who fills a room simply by being in it. She is working her way to a healthy seven pounds, and once she reaches that milestone, she will be ready for her spay, her dental care, and the forever home that has been waiting for her all along.
So find her an empty lap, fellas. Dolly'll never go away again.
We are looking for someone with a quiet, loving home who understands that this little girl has already been through enough, and who is ready to give her all the warmth, gentleness, and treat-fueled dance parties she deserves for the rest of her days.

This dog's adoption fee is $450 to go towards their vetting (vaccines, spay/neuter, heartworm/Ehrlichia/Lyme test, fecal test, pre-op blood work, dental cleaning, and microchip as well as grooming if needed). All dogs in the care of Get a Life Pet Rescue live in loving foster homes while waiting for their perfect match. They are never kept in cages or crates unless there is a medical reason, and they are treated as family pets throughout their time with us. Our rescues are fed premium brand holistic wet food diets along with supplements and vitamins tailored to each dog's individual needs. Every dog in our care receives complete quality vetting, including full dental cleaning with pre-op blood work, spay/neuter, vaccines, and grooming. Dogs requiring specialized care are seen by the appropriate specialists, including full cardiac workups, ophthalmologist visits, and biopsy of any suspicious lumps or bumps. Every medical detail is shared transparently with potential adopters.
