Story
**ALL ADOPTIONS INCLUDE A HOME VISIT. YOU MUST LIVE IN BROWARD & PALM BEACH COUNTIES** Meet Pound Cake: A Sweet Soul Learning That The World Is Kind Pound Cake is a petite one-year-old Shih Tzu. She is11 pounds of solid little muscle wrapped in tenderness. When she hears her name, she offers the sweetest puppy bow and a playful tail wag, as she wiggles towards you. She loves closeness, not in a demanding way, but in a heartfelt one. She will lean into you, settle by your side, and offer soft, sugary kisses. When she arrived, her fur was severely matted and had to be shaved down completely. Beneath the neglect was a beautiful white coat with brindle markings that will grow back in time. More importantly, beneath the rough start was a resilient, affectionate little dog who still believes in people. It seems Pound Cake lived a secluded early life. Every day sounds and simple movements, doors opening, new noises, are still things she is learning to trust. She is discovering that the world does not mean her harm. With calm reassurance and steady leadership, her confidence grows each day. Out in the yard, she finds her joy. Zoomies, playful moments with her toys, and bursts of youthful energy remind you that she is still very much a puppy at heart. Inside, she settles into a gentle cuddle companion. Pound Cake will thrive with a devoted, dog-savvy home that understands transitions take time. A patient adopter who offers structure, kindness, and consistency will see her blossom into a loyal, affectionate partner. This dog's adoption fee is $650 to go towards their vetting (vaccines, spay/neuter, heartworm/Ehrlichia/Lyme test, fecal test, pre-op blood work, dental cleaning, and microchip as well as grooming if needed). Story
**ALL ADOPTIONS INCLUDE A HOME VISIT. YOU MUST LIVE IN BROWARD & PALM BEACH COUNTIES** Meet Jett: The Snuggler with Spark. Jett is a one-year-old Shih Tzu with the heart of a comedian and the soul of a snuggler. At 14 pounds, he’s sturdy, muscular, and full of bright, playful energy. He greets life with joy, tail swishing, eyes smiling, and ready to engage. Right now, his coat is closely shaved due to previous neglect, which can make it hard to picture his breed. But as it grows back, you’ll see the soft, flowing Shih Tzu coat emerge again. Regular grooming will be part of his lifelong care, not just for beauty, but for comfort and health. Jett is wonderfully social with other small dogs and is learning how to “be a dog” by watching his foster friends. He studies them, follows their lead, and grows more confident each day. Playtime is his classroom, and he’s an eager student. With his people, Jett has what we lovingly call a “paws-on” lover, full of charisma. He reaches out, leans in, and makes sure you know how grateful he is to be near you. He bonds warmly and expresses affection with the deepest intention. He is healthy and ready for a home that understands two important things: Grooming will be a consistent part of his care. A newly rescued dog needs time, patience, and gentle guidance to fully settle in. Jett doesn’t just want a home; he wants connection, play, laughter, and closeness. In return, he will give you wholehearted devotion and a daily reminder to enjoy the simple moments. This dog's adoption fee is $650 to go towards their vetting (vaccines, spay/neuter, heartworm/Ehrlichia/Lyme test, fecal test, pre-op blood work, dental cleaning, and microchip as well as grooming if needed).
