Sophie and Ashlynn are a bonded pair of adorable, senior Shih Tzus who are ready to fill your home with quiet loyalty, gentle affection, and plenty of snuggle time.  Sophie is a quiet little lady who prefers to stay close by your side. She isn't a big cuddler, but she will loyally follow you from room to room and nap nearby on a pillow while you relax or watch tv. She is very inquisitive and has a little anxiety which keeps her moving around, especially when her foster mom is out of sight. Due to her anxiety, Sophie does take a daily medication to manage it. Additionally, she does have some allergies and takes benadryl for that. Ashlynn (or Ashie for short) is the cuddlebug of the pair. She loves being held like a baby or snuggled up in your lap - maybe even on your pillow at night! She's a deep sleeper and loves a good nap, especially if it's near her favorite person. Like Sophie, Ashlynn would like to be wherever you are and wants to be the center of your world. Ashie is a bit more of a diva; while she gets along with other dogs, she doesn't like when they get in her face or between her and her cuddle time with their foster mom.  Both girls currently live with other dogs, but their hearts truly belong to their human. They will require a home with a fenced in yard and have not yet been cat tested. They're content lounging around together, following you throughout the house, or enjoying a quiet evening by your side. They are both potty pad trained and are used to having free roam of the house. If you have a calm, loving home and are ready for two devoted little shadows, Sophie and Ashie are the perfect pair!  Sophie and Ashlynn's adoption fee is $350 and includes their spay, microchip, current vaccinations and preventatives. They are seeking an indoor only home with adopters who have a history of keeping their pets as indoor animals, altered, and current on annual vaccinations and preventatives. Our adoption process includes a background check, home visit, and vet history check. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Dog-friendly Finnley is ready to meet you and your pup!  Finnley loves people and could easily fit into a home with another dog companion, we think he will not only enjoy the company but will more easily settle into a routine and daily life with a confident canine companion. Finnley loves to get outside for a good sniff and we can tell that he would love to go and explore, he would really enjoy having a yard of his own (his terrier brain would love this!)   Finnley loves to watch the outside and try to get birds, squirrels, rabbits, and vehicles. Finnley will require a securely fenced in yard because of his love of chasing things. Finnley is potty trained and does great when home without supervision. Finnley is a happy goofy guy with lots of energy, but he does still love a good cuddle and the chance to be a lap dog!  We are working on nips at our feet and sometimes the back of our legs. It would be best if he went into a home with older kids. Finnley is not a great match for cats unless your cat is very dog savvy.  Finnley came back into rescue after having had a medical emergency that his family was not equipped to care for.  It is believed he had exposure to a possible toxin that caused a severe anemic reaction that required hospitalization and ongoing steroids during recovery. Finnley has been monitored very closely while being tapered off of medication, he currently has no long term side effects or medication needs other than monthly prescription preventatives for heartworm and flea/tick.  He is recommended by the vet to have bi-annual bloodwork for the next 12 months and then just routine annual bloodwork as part of his wellness exams.  Finnley is a happy go lucky little guy, this was just an unfortunate setback that he managed well and recovered easily from with some TLC!   Finnley's adoption fee is $250 and includes his neuter, microchip, current vaccines and monthly preventatives.  If you would like to meet Finnley, please submit an adoption application through our website, Adopthope.org.  Last Hope requires that adopters have a history of having kept their pets altered, as indoor pets only and kept current on annual vet visits, vaccines and preventatives.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.May 31, 2026, 9:54 pm
