Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Description:  Meet Ivy, the little pipsqueak! This spunky and loving girly will steal your heart from the very start. She is a rescued mill mama with a loving and nurturing side that acclimated well in her foster home. She enjoyed the companionship of her two dog brothers and cat sister. Although she would do fine as a single dog, she would thrive in a home with a similar  size companion dog. Super Stats: Healthy eater. Sleeps through the night. Does well on potty training when kept on a schedule.. Smart and a quick learner, especially when rewarded with treats. Will snuggle with you all day, in bed or on the couch. Loves to be carried. Loves treats. Spunky and sassy. &#226&#128&#139Personality and Quirks: Very inquisitive. Likes being the caboose (behind everyone) on walks. Fun and spunky. Very gentile. Doesn't bark much. All Set for Her New Furever Home: Ivy  has been completely prepared for her new life—she's been spayed, microchipped, and is current on all vaccinations (rabies, distemper/parvo, bivalent canine influenza, and bordetella). Her heartworm and flea/tick prevention are also up to date, so you can focus on what matters most: bonding with your new cuddle partner! Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.PLEASE NOTE:   If you are viewing this biography on a website other than the Ohio Fuzzy Pawz website like Petfinder, Adopt-a-Pet, or another search engine (the OFP website is www.ohiofuzzypawz.com), not all information transfers to partner websites in some instances.  If you go to the  individual webpage of our dogs , you will be able to get more information each dog. Visual breed identification in dogs can be unreliable so, in many cases, we are only guessing at the predominant breed or breed mix.  We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label. Our Adoption Process The adoption process has several steps involved. Please review prior to submitting an application. Our adoption process is detailed here:  http://www.ohiofuzzypawz.com/info/adoption Our volunteers work very diligently to process each application and we try to ensure that we are making the best match possible for each dog.  We do not schedule meetings with dogs until an application has been approved.  It can take up to a few weeks to process an application or as little time as a few days, from the time you submit an application, please be prepared to adopt as we cannot hold dogs. Special Requirements Some dogs may have special requirements (for example, medications, a fence) -- if you apply for a dog, please be sure to read over the biography completely to see if there are any special needs and if you're home would be suitable.  If we indicate on the dog's biography that a fence is required, this means your home must have a physical fence.  Other dogs may require a "strong vet reference" which indicates that we are looking for a home that has a documented history of veterinary care with previous pets.  The first step in our process is to submit an online adoption application at www.ohiofuzzypawz.com/forms.  The application MUST include the personal references and veterinary, grooming, and landlord references (if applicable) and their respective contact information.  If you do not include the references and the contact information, your application will be delayed as it CANNOT be processed.  Once the references have been successfully completed, a home visit is then scheduled when a rescue representative can meet all members of the family or residents of the home.  No application is approved prior to the home visit being done.   At that point, the Directors will discuss any and all applications on a foster dog and make a selection--in many cases, there are multiple applications for each dog, so please be understanding that our only priority is the successful placement of each of our foster dogs. Out of State Adoptions We do adopt out of state to outstanding applicants, however, our process requires a home visit, so out of state adoptions can take longer.  We do not ship our dogs, adopters should be prepared to pick up the dog in Central Ohio.  January 5, 2026, 1:50 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.  Meet Opal — A Little Gem with a Big Heart  Opal is a soft, snuggly sweetheart who is happiest when she’s close to her people… or even better, hanging out with her doggy friends. She has a gentle, loving soul and a quiet, easygoing presence that makes her a wonderful companion for a calm home. One of Opal’s favorite things in the world is food and treats — and she gets adorably excited about them! She’s not an aggressive girl at all, just enthusiastically motivated and guaranteed to make you smile when snacks are involved. Treat time is truly her happy hour. Opal can be a bit cautious when approached too quickly, especially with loud or rambunctious energy, but once she feels safe, she blossoms into a total cuddle bug. She loves going outside to sniff, snack on grass, and show off her signature potty-time zoomies — they’re as cute as they sound! Her bark is equally adorable, though she rarely uses it. She enjoys the company of other dogs and would love a canine buddy to share her days with, though she’d also be content as long as she has a devoted human to attach herself to. She’s beginning to explore toys and learning what’s okay to chew and watching her discover these “new” joys is incredibly heartwarming. Opal prefers a quieter home without small children and appreciates patient, gentle guidance as she continues learning her routines. When she feels unsure, she’ll sweetly choose to relax in her crate on her own — she’s very good at advocating for herself. If you’re looking for a low-key, affectionate companion with a tender heart, a silly food obsession, and a whole lot of love to give, Opal may be your perfect match. Opal's adoption donation is $500 and she is being fostered in the Cincinnati area. She has been completely prepared for her new life—she's been spayed, microchipped, and is current on all vaccinations (rabies, distemper/parvo, bivalent canine influenza, and bordetella). She has tested negative for heartworms and is on heartworm and flea/tick prevention. Opal has also had a dental cleaning, so you can focus on what matters most: bonding with your new cuddle partner! Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Meet Marnie: A Little Princess Seeking Her Kingdom! Marnie is a sweet and lovable little lady who came into rescue as a stray and has blossomed in her foster home. This charming girl is ready to find her forever family and shower them with all her love! Marnie thrives on human attention and happily coexists with her canine foster sibling, most of the time. She's a pro at potty breaks, especially when kept on a consistent schedule, and has mastered the art of using potty pads. While she's not a marathon walker, she enjoys leisurely strolls around the block to sniff out the neighborhood news. Now, let's talk about Marnie's unique charm: she has a delightful, high-pitched voice that she uses to let you know when she can't find her people or when she's left alone. Because of this vocalness, Marnie isn't suited for apartment or condo living. She also takes her watchdog duties seriously, alerting you to any comings and goings! In her foster home, Marnie enjoys sharing a gated area with the resident dog during bedtime and when her humans are away, as she's not a fan of crate training (think opera-level protests!). What's Marnie looking for in a forever home? A calm and quiet environment with minimal social activity. Human(s) who are home often and ready to shower her with love and attention – she deserves to be treated like the princess she is! Ideally, a fenced yard or area, or a patient adopter willing to work with her on leash potty training. Someone who understands her medical needs and is committed to providing her with ongoing care. Applicants should have a strong veterinary history, demonstrating a commitment to preventative care and responsible pet ownership. Marnie's Journey: Since coming into rescue, Marnie has been diagnosed with paroxysmal movement disorder, which causes mild episodes lasting less than a minute. These episodes don't currently impact her quality of life, but her adopter will need to be prepared to monitor her condition and consult with a veterinarian regularly. Marnie currently sees a holistic vet for chiropractic and acupuncture treatments every 3-4 weeks and receives natural supplements to support her condition and help with her mild allergies. More About Marnie's Wonderful Personality: Marnie enjoys car rides (short trips are best!). She might also enjoy a companion dog of similar size and energy who likes a good chase and enjoys sharing soft toys, but she's also perfectly content being the only pampered pup in the home, as long as her people are homebodies. In her foster home she has thrived and enjoys all the attention she receives. Marnie is on special food and treats to help minimize her allergies and will require monthly grooming and baths to help keep her skin and coat in good condition. If you're searching for a devoted and unique companion, Marnie might just be your perfect match! Could you be the loving family to give this little princess her happily ever after? Marnie’s adoption donation is $425 and she is being fostered in Central Ohio.  She has been spayed, microchipped, received her rabies, distemper/parvo, bivalent canine influenza and Bordetella vaccines, tested negative for heartworms and started on prevention, as well as flea prevention.  She has also had a dental cleaning. A fenced yard is preferred as she doesn't reliably potty on leash. Her forever home will need to have a strong veterinary history.
