Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Corrina’s adoption donation is $450 and she is being fostered in Eastern Ohio.  She has been spayed, microchipped, received her rabies, distemper/parvo, bivalent canine influenza and Bordetella vaccines, tested negative for heartworms and started on prevention, as well as flea prevention.  She has also had a dental cleaning. Corrina requires a home with a companion dog or an owner who is home a lot, as well as a secure, physically fenced yard. Corrina came into rescue as a breeder release from a puppy mill. She has made a lot of progress in rescue and she loves to play. She really enjoys the company of other dogs and her people. Corinna is definitely not your typical mill girl and has quite a bit of energy, so an active household with a companion dog of similar size and energy is needed.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.PLEASE NOTE:   If you are viewing this biography on a website other than the Ohio Fuzzy Pawz website like Petfinder, Adopt-a-Pet, or another search engine (the OFP website is www.ohiofuzzypawz.com), not all information transfers to partner websites in some instances.  If you go to the  individual webpage of our dogs , you will be able to get more information each dog. Visual breed identification in dogs can be unreliable so, in many cases, we are only guessing at the predominant breed or breed mix.  We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label. Our Adoption Process The adoption process has several steps involved. Please review prior to submitting an application. Our adoption process is detailed here:  http://www.ohiofuzzypawz.com/info/adoption Our volunteers work very diligently to process each application and we try to ensure that we are making the best match possible for each dog.  We do not schedule meetings with dogs until an application has been approved.  It can take up to a few weeks to process an application or as little time as a few days, from the time you submit an application, please be prepared to adopt as we cannot hold dogs. Special Requirements Some dogs may have special requirements (for example, medications, a fence) -- if you apply for a dog, please be sure to read over the biography completely to see if there are any special needs and if you're home would be suitable.  If we indicate on the dog's biography that a fence is required, this means your home must have a physical fence.  Other dogs may require a "strong vet reference" which indicates that we are looking for a home that has a documented history of veterinary care with previous pets.  The first step in our process is to submit an online adoption application at www.ohiofuzzypawz.com/forms.  The application MUST include the personal references and veterinary, grooming, and landlord references (if applicable) and their respective contact information.  If you do not include the references and the contact information, your application will be delayed as it CANNOT be processed.  Once the references have been successfully completed, a home visit is then scheduled when a rescue representative can meet all members of the family or residents of the home.  No application is approved prior to the home visit being done.   At that point, the Directors will discuss any and all applications on a foster dog and make a selection--in many cases, there are multiple applications for each dog, so please be understanding that our only priority is the successful placement of each of our foster dogs. Out of State Adoptions We do adopt out of state to outstanding applicants, however, our process requires a home visit, so out of state adoptions can take longer.  We do not ship our dogs, adopters should be prepared to pick up the dog in Central Ohio.  July 26, 2024, 10:30 am

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Smokey's adoption donation is $475 and he is being fostered in the Central Ohio area. He has been neutered, microchipped, received his rabies, distemper/parvo, canine influenza and bordetella vaccines. He tested negative for heartworms and was started on prevention, as well as flea prevention. Smokey also had a dental cleaning with extractions. He requires a home with a strong veterinary medical history.  Smokey came into rescue through no fault of his own when his owner could no longer take care of him. He is a laid back chill guy that has adapted well to rescue and would love to have a family of his own. Smokey does well on house training as long as he is kept on a schedule.  Smokey loves to go on walks. He enjoys checking in with his neighbors and their dogs to say hello. He loves to go on car rides to see what new adventures lay ahead, he likes to be the co-pilot. Smokey is on daily eyedrops for dry eye and takes the medication like a champ and we do have him on prescription food for allergies and he is improving but will need continued monitoring. Smokey also loves to cuddle beside you for relaxing time watching TV.  He would love to be your TV buddy for the ballgame or a Hallmark movie--he's a flexible TV watcher.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.PLEASE NOTE:   If you are viewing this biography on a website other than the Ohio Fuzzy Pawz website like Petfinder, Adopt-a-Pet, or another search engine (the OFP website is www.ohiofuzzypawz.com), not all information transfers to partner websites in some instances.  If you go to the  individual webpage of our dogs , you will be able to get more information each dog. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Colton’s adoption donation is $425 and he is being fostered in Central Ohio.  He has been neutered, microchipped, received his rabies, distemper/parvo, bivalent canine influenza and Bordetella vaccines, tested negative for heartworms and started on prevention, as well as flea prevention.  He has also had a dental cleaning. Colton requires a home with a companion dog of similar size/energy and a secure, physically fenced yard. Colton came into rescue from a puppy mill when he was no longer useful to them. He has done very well in rescue and, while shy, not nearly as shy as many of the mill dogs we take into rescue.  He comes when called, loves to play with toys and likes other dogs. He is still trying to figure out the walking on the leash thing so a fenced in yard is a must.  Colton does well on housetraining if kept on a schedule. Colton is a super sweet boy who settles in fairly quickly and loves his people and follows them around.  His personality is really starting to shine and he needs a patient home that will help him continue his process and learn to be a dog living his best life.  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.PLEASE NOTE:   If you are viewing this biography on a website other than the Ohio Fuzzy Pawz website like Petfinder, Adopt-a-Pet, or another search engine (the OFP website is www.ohiofuzzypawz.com), not all information transfers to partner websites in some instances.  If you go to the  individual webpage of our dogs , you will be able to get more information each dog. He has also had a dental cleaning.  Ryden came into rescue from a commercial breeder, AKA puppy mill, when he was no longer of use to them.  He has made incredible progress in rescue and is really starting to blossom and learn what it's like to be a dog. He does well on a leash and is very attached to his person, so while a fenced yard would be awesome, it is not required.  Ryden is starting to figure out what toys are and zoomies are definitely in his future. Ryden really loves his human and follows you everywhere and gets sad when you leave but ever happier when you return!Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.PLEASE NOTE:   If you are viewing this biography on a website other than the Ohio Fuzzy Pawz website like Petfinder, Adopt-a-Pet, or another search engine (the OFP website is www.ohiofuzzypawz.com), not all information transfers to partner websites in some instances.  If you go to the  individual webpage of our dogs , you will be able to get more information each dog. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Jasper’s adoption donation is $400 and he is being fostered in Central Ohio.  He has been neutered, microchipped, received his rabies, distemper/parvo, bivalent canine influenza and Bordetella vaccines, tested negative for heartworms and started on prevention, as well as flea prevention.  He has also had a dental cleaning. Jasper came into rescue through no fault of his own when his owner passed away. He has made a lot of progress in rescue and has really started to come out of his shell as he was very scared when he initially came into rescue. Jasper is shy when first meeting but warms up quickly. He gets along with other dogs if they aren't in his space, but is really fine on his own. He loves to park himself on the couch next to his person and enjoy a game or a movie. Jasper loves to go for walks and really perks up when he's got your attention, but he loves to run in the back yard so a fenced yard is preferred. Since he is used to a quieter home, a perfect home would not have children under the age of 8-10 because of his calm demeanor. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Hope's adoption donation is $350 and she is being fostered in Central Ohio. She has been spayed, microchipped, received her rabies, distemper/parvo, bivalent canine influenza and Bordetella vaccines, tested negative for heartworms and started on prevention, as well as flea prevention. She has also had a dental cleaning. Hope came into rescue through no fault of her own when her family could not pay for her care. She had to have surgery to have an eye removed due to an injury and she has fully recovered. Hope has made so much progress in rescue. She loves to be outside looking for squirrels and chippies (although she hasn't been successful in catching anything).  Hope does very well with housetraining if kept on a schedule. Hope would do best in a home as an only dog as she doesn't really pay any attention to the other dogs. Hope loves to be with her people and go for walks and she travels well in a car. She also loves a good butt scratch and "purrs" when you are scratching her. We do prefer a home with at least a small fenced area since she does love to be outside.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.PLEASE NOTE:   If you are viewing this biography on a website other than the Ohio Fuzzy Pawz website like Petfinder, Adopt-a-Pet, or another search engine (the OFP website is www.ohiofuzzypawz.com), not all information transfers to partner websites in some instances.  If you go to the  individual webpage of our dogs , you will be able to get more information each dog.
