Say hello to Jasper, a sweet almost-13-year-old Shih Tzu who weighs about 15 lbs (and could use a little help filling out). He was surrendered through no fault of his own, and now he’s hoping to spend his golden years in a calm, loving home. Jasper is a gentle little guy who loves kids and enjoys the company of small dogs, though big dogs can be a bit scary for him. He can be cat tested if you have feline friends at home. He walks beautifully on leash and is as polite and soft-natured as they come. Like many seniors, he has a few quirks: he’s anxious in the car and not a big fan of nail trims. He’ll also need regular bloodwork to keep him feeling his best as he ages. Lilly is an 11-year-old Shih Tzu, transferred to us from a local rescue and weighing just under 10 lbs. She may be small, but she carries herself with quiet grace and has the sweetest little face. Lilly is a calm, gentle soul who prefers to take life at an easy pace. She patiently waits her turn for walks, happily toddles alongside you, and then settles in to watch the room with curiosity, taking in all the action without needing to be in the center of it. She’ll need regular grooming to keep her coat at its best, but she doesn’t ask for much else—just short walks, cozy naps, and plenty of cuddles. Lilly is open to meeting other dogs, can be cat tested, and we believe she’d do fine with children.
