Matcha — A Little Fighter With a Big Heart Matcha came to us from Laredo, Texas, after being given to one of our street rescuers. She arrived matted from head to toe and had to be shaved down for her comfort and health. As her coat grows back, she’ll benefit from professional grooming to help her feel her best again. She’s a Shih Tzu–Dachshund mix with a rough beginning, but you’d never know it from her spirit. Matcha is a super sweet girl, gentle, loving, and so grateful for every bit of kindness she receives. She’s ready to leave her past behind and start fresh with a family who will cherish her. Matcha has all the makings of a wonderful companion — she just needs someone to give her the chance she’s been waiting for. Matcha is located in Hondo, Texas She is CHAGAS and heartworm negative. Percy is a 2-3 yr old Shihtzu mix weighing 15 lbs. He is from the Pearsall shelter and came to our rescue completely neglected. He is a good boy and loves to sit on his hind legs and give prayers in his crate. haha. He gets along with everyone in his group, especially the ladies. Percy is heartworm negative and Chagas positive but don't let that deter you. With treatment, Chagas is fully curable, and dogs go on to live long, happy lives. Tracy’s Paws is one of the first rescues to test every dog for Chagas, and we’ve had measurable success with our treatment protocol. We are also committed to educating adopters and the public about Chagas so even more dogs can be helped. Every dog adopted through Tracy’s Paws receives: • Chagas, heartworm, and tick testing (when age-appropriate) • All core vaccines (age-appropriate) • Heartworm and flea/tick preventatives • Regular Deworming • Spay/neuter surgery • Microchip
