Story
Mabel is an 8 year old, 12.5 pound Shih Tzu mix who was found as a stray, fending for herself, in need of attention, shaking, and afraid of human touch. In the time Mabel has spent in her foster home she has shown us that there is hope! This very quiet, sweet girl loves to learn from the other dogs in the home. She dances around the kitchen at meal time, wags her tail, licks her foster parents hands, and is happy as can be as she makes baby steps towards appreciating affection. Mabel is housebroken with regular outings. To set Mabel up for success, a quieter home without small children and another dog to learn from would be ideal. If you would like to adopt Mabel, please fill out an application at www.rescuerowinc.org

Rescue Row is a 501(c)3 (non-profit) all volunteer dog rescue organization serving the DFW Metroplex. We are dedicated to rescuing dogs in shelters, dogs in abusive or neglectful situations, and dogs surrendered by their owners because of difficult circumstances. We place dogs in loving, responsible, committed permanent homes, following a comprehensive adoption process, which includes taking considerable care in finding good matches and educating prospective adopters about the responsibilities and costs of bringing a dog into their homes and lives. Dogs in our care are spayed or neutered, microchipped, receive all appropriate veterinary care and treatment, and placed in nurturing foster homes while they await placement in their permanent homes. We assist dogs in distress without regard to age, breed or ease of placement. Dogs in the greatest need take priority. Finally, we strive to work with shelters and other rescue and humane organizations to develop a network of supporters and volunteers in order to create a better world for homeless dogs.
