Story
I was introduced to Kai in 2024. He is the best dog you could have. He gives me no problems. My children love him and he is very gentle with children of all ages. He has been around other dogs and has no problem. He loves to cuddle and adores attention. He is very well trained with the potty. He will always come to you when he has to go potty. I want him to have a nice loving home.

Story
Phineas is such a sweet and happy little boy! Full of energy and so affectionate. He hasn’t met a stranger and is usually the first to greet you at the door, trying desperately to jump up for some attention. When he’s in your arms, he is squirmy with excitement and showers you in kisses. He can be a little guarded when meeting new dogs but warms up within minutes. Once he feels comfortable with the dog, it’s game over. He loves to play and snuggle with them, and he’d love a canine companion to continue that with in his forever home. He is also a big fan of cuddling with his people and has puppy-eyed his way into sleeping in bed at night. Phineas hasn’t had a single accident in the house and will even go to the back door to let us know he needs to go potty. He also caught on to kennel training very easily, but we certainly get an earful each time we return home. True to his breed, he has found his voice, so he wouldn’t be suited for apartment living. Phineas has been such an easy addition to foster and always makes us smile with his happy-go-lucky attitude. He is such a wonderful little puppy who will make his forever family very lucky!” Phineas is 5 month olds old and weighs 8 lbs. We DNA tested his brother and per wisdom panel, he is a mix of 8 different breeds with the top breeds being 50% Chihuahua, 22% Shih Tzu and 17% Miniature Poodle. He is expected to weigh between 11-22 lbs when full grown. If you’re interested in adding him to your family, please submit an adoption application at www.rescuerowinc.org. *Please check your junk email folder if you do not receive a response from a Rescue Row member within 48 hours. *You must live within an hour of the DFW Metroplex because we do trial adoptions and require a homecheck *Our adoption fees are as follows (paid by cash or a check made out to Rescue Row): Dogs 12 weeks-6 months old: $300 adoption fee  Dogs 7 months and older: $275 adoption fee  Rescue Row is a 501(c)3 (non-profit) all volunteer dog rescue organization serving the DFW Metroplex. We are dedicated to rescuing dogs in shelters, dogs in abusive or neglectful situations, and dogs surrendered by their owners because of difficult circumstances. We place dogs in loving, responsible, committed permanent homes, following a comprehensive adoption process, which includes taking considerable care in finding good matches and educating prospective adopters about the responsibilities and costs of bringing a dog into their homes and lives. Dogs in our care are spayed or neutered, microchipped, receive all appropriate veterinary care and treatment, and placed in nurturing foster homes while they await placement in their permanent homes. We assist dogs in distress without regard to age, breed or ease of placement. Dogs in the greatest need take priority. Finally, we strive to work with shelters and other rescue and humane organizations to develop a network of supporters and volunteers in order to create a better world for homeless dogs. ##2762289##

Story
When Ziggy first came to Rescue Row, the world felt like a scary place. New people made him nervous, and his instinct was to protect himself by snapping. Thanks to patience, consistency, and ongoing training, he’s learning that people can be trusted.Over the Fourth of July weekend, Ziggy reached a major milestone. His foster family had several guests over, and each person followed the same training techniques that have helped build his confidence. Instead of reacting with fear, Ziggy stayed calm and accepted the visitors into the home. His foster family was amazed at how well he handled the situation. He’s also developed a special friendship with the grandmother who visits each week. Watching him happily greet someone he once would have been unsure of is a great reminder of how much progress he’s made. When he’s not working on his confidence, Ziggy is a fun, happy little dog. He loves his daily walks, chasing tennis balls around the backyard, wrestling with his dog friends, and collecting every ball he can find. He has plenty of energy for adventures, but he’s just as happy curling up in your lap at the end of the day.Ziggy also loves car rides and is learning that the best place to enjoy them is safely buckled into his car seat.Ziggy is looking for a forever family that will continue helping him grow. He will do best in a home with another playful dog, someone who is home most of the day, and a family committed to continuing the training that has helped him succeed. Because of his needs, he is not a good fit for apartment living or as an only dog. He would also do best in a home with children 12 years and older.Ziggy is a 9 month old Miniature Pinscher/Shih Tzu mix who weighs just 8 lbs. He’s come a long way, and now he’s ready to find the family that will love him for exactly who he is. If you’re interested in adopting Ziggy, please submit an application at www.rescuerowinc.org. Her future family is going to be so lucky to have a pup like her. Sweet strawberry is looking and feeling so much better!! This girl LOVES to play with other dogs and has one of the best personalities. Very easy going and sleeps wonderfully in her kennel at night. She also loves to go for walks and is very vocal if her food is not served on time. Love watching this girl blossom 😍

Story
DFW AREA APPLICATIONS ONLY* DOB: 4/23/26 Weight: approx. 10-15 lbs. full-grown Milo was purchased from a breeder and surrendered to Legacy Humane Society after his owner discovered they were highly allergic to him. We're now searching for his forever family!  Puppies are playful, active, and loving. They need someone will lots of time and patience to raise them to be the best adult dogs they can be. Since Milo is just a pup, he will get along with everyone - dog, cats, and kids. We recommend a home without small children due to his fragile size.  Milo doesn't shed but will require regular, professional grooming and consistent brushing to stay happy and healthy. Shih Tzus are also prone to dental disease and require routine professional dental care as well as at-home teeth brushing. Please consider these added expenses before applying.  $600 donation includes three rounds of puppy vaccines, dewormer, a one-year rabies vaccine, microchip and registration, and spay/neuter. Adopter will take the puppy to an LHS-approved vet to be spayed/neutered at 16 weeks of age per the spay/neuter agreement and in accordance with Chapter 828, Texas Health and Safety Code. Please complete an adoption application and someone will reach out to you within 48 hours via email. https://legacyhumanesociety.org/adoptfoster/adoption-application/ *Due to the high volume of applications and inquiries for puppies, we will not be able to respond to or consider interest from those outside of the Dallas/Fort Worth Area.We do not have a facility to house the dogs in our program. They are all kept in foster homes until they are adopted. Therefore, if you are interested in adopting from LHS, please complete an online application at http://legacyhumanesociety.org/adoptfoster/adoption-application/ and we will contact you asap about the status of your application. Story
Hi! My name is Zena. One of my best friends is Zappo but as long as I am close to my person, I’ll be happy. Mom says I’m “pleasingly plump”. I weigh a whopping 20 lbs! I have great potty manners and sleep in a kennel at night. I am about 5-6 yo and I just want to be loved. I get along well with other dogs. If you have a place for me in your home, please apply!
