Meet Buddy! â¤ï¸ 8-Year-Old Shih Tzu | 18 lbs. | A Little Gentleman with a BIG Personality! If you're looking for a sweet, funny, affectionate little companion who will keep you smiling and fill your home with love, Buddy is your boy! Buddy is a handsome, purebred Shih Tzu with striking black-and-white markings, an adorable little face, and a personality that's larger than life! This happy little fellow enjoys the finer things in life, especially FOOD ! Buddy is a little on the chunky side and certainly doesn't believe in missing a meal! One of his most adorable habits is sitting up on his back legs and having an entire conversation with you. He's quite the little comedian and knows exactly how to charm his audience, especially when treats are involved! Behind all that personality is an incredibly loving little boy who adores affection, snuggles, and simply being close to his people. Buddy has so much love to give and is ready to share it with someone special. â¤ï¸ Buddy's Story Buddy's world changed when his beloved owner passed away. Thankfully, a caring family member stepped in to provide a loving home for Buddy and his sister, Baby. Unfortunately, unexpected circumstances led to an eviction, and she was unable to take the dogs to her new home. Wanting the very best for them, she reached out for rescue assistance. Buddy is now in the care of Legacy Humane Society, where he's waiting for a wonderful family to give him the loving, secure forever home he deserves. Despite everything he's been through, Buddy hasn't lost his happy spirit or his love for people. He's still the same trusting, affectionate little gentleman who just wants someone to call his own. What Makes Buddy So Special? Wonderful house manners! Buddy is house-trained, crate-trained, and can be trusted with free roam of the home. Enjoys little adventures! He walks nicely on a leash and loves short, leisurely strolls when the weather is beautiful. The perfect copilot! Buddy loves car rides and is always happy to ride shotgun! A friendly little fellow! He does well with other dogs and older, respectful children. A champion snuggler! Buddy loves affection and spending quality time with his favorite people. A natural entertainer! He sits up, chats with you, and happily shows off his adorable tricks for treats. A handsome, low-shedding companion! Buddy doesn't shed, but his beautiful coat requires daily brushing and regular professional grooming to keep him healthy, comfortable, and looking his best. â¤ï¸ Buddy's Health & Care Buddy is approximately 18 pounds, neutered, up to date on vaccinations, and heartworm negative. At eight years young, he's a sturdy little bundle of personality with plenty of love, laughter, and companionship left to share! What About His Sister, Baby? Buddy has spent his life alongside his beloved sister and best friend, Baby. These two sweet souls have experienced so many changes together, and our greatest wish would be to see them spend their golden years side by side in a loving home.
