Story
This sweet little senior is Cici! She is an 8 lb fur baby and we believe she’s around 12 years old but with rescue ITS ALWAYS A GUESS! She does appear to be a Shih Tzu mix. This sweet girl lives in a very bustling, busy home with lots of kids and other dogs (foster and resident) and she just goes with the flow. This little lady is completely crate trained but will sometimes bark and would much prefer to be near her humans. Ms Cici recently had one of her eyes removed and is doing great. She hasn’t missed a beat! She would love a quiet home where take naps and stroll around at her leisure. She’d love to be a couch potato and just hang with her people/person. She would do great in a house or as an apartment dweller. She would do great with a senior person/couple that is retired or enjoys spending time at home. This girl is low energy and doesn’t require a lot of exercise. She would love a place she can call home to live out her best years. Please email : Kristin@threelittlepittiesrescue.org with any questions. Story
How can you resist this scruffy mess of cuteness?? Beanie Weenie is an 8 year old guy weighing at 11 pounds who is being fostered in Houston Texas. We think he is a shih tzu- terrier mix- but we will just call him a Texas Special- the very best type of dog. If you're willing to rub his belly he will roll over and make it easy for you. He LOVES belly rubs! He is all for being carried around, but he will need you to pet him and approach him gently first. Once he knows you and trusts you- he will love you with his whole heart! He loves human companionship and seeks out belly rubs, kisses and ear rubs! Beanie gets along well with other dogs, and especially loves the chihuahua puppies in his foster house. He also gets along with all the other small dogs. Beanie Weenie is 100% housebroken and has mastered the use of the doggie door, showing his independence and intelligence. Beanie is quiet in his crate, especially when it's equipped with a big fluffy pillow. He not only sleeps in there but also takes daily naps, indicating that it's his safe haven. Looking for a partner for a late night ice cream run or morning coffee? Beanie is good in the car, making him a great travel companion for adventures near and far. He will want a pup cup or ice-cream treat while you are out. Beanie quickly learned how to walk on a leash, showcasing his adaptability and willingness to learn new things. He will continue to need practice to keep him from reverting back to his alligator rolling on the leash days. Despite being nearly perfect, Beanie will need eye drops the rest of his life for dry eyes. He may have a slight aversion to getting his eyes treated, but this doesn't overshadow his many wonderful qualities. Beanie will bring joy, love, and companionship to his forever family. If he sounds like he belongs snuggled on the couch next to you, apply here to see if you are a match! Story
I’m Lulu! I’m a Shih Tzu/Maltese mix, about 7 or so years old, around 13lbs, up to date with my vaccines, spayed and micro chipped. Some important things to know about me;I am blind in one eye and currently have medications applied daily for both eyes, I am a bit above weight and am working to reach my ideal goal of 11lbs. I am also starting to have signs of arthritis in my back legs.  But none of this has stopped me, I am so full of life and love. Don’t let my senior age fool you, even though I love to nap, I also really enjoy going on walks and playing with my toys; especially balls. I enjoy being outside, wandering around and exploring in a fenced yard. I especially love to sunbathe. I love to be treated like the princess I am and enjoy being carried around. I also like to have my space and I do well being left alone at home. I am kennel trained and like to sleep in there or in your bed. I am also potty trained. I am very nervous when meeting new people and dogs, I don’t like to feel over crowded. I get overwhelmed when there’s a lot going on. Once I’ve gotten to know you and your pets I am a lot more calm and will show my true personality. If I am the dog for you please fill out a statement of interest on the Alternative Humane Society Website. I can’t wait to meet my forever family! Lots of love, Lulu ##1961705##
