Story
Maddie is thought to be five years old and had been in rescue for a few years waiting on her forever family. She is petite and sweet and loves everyone she meets. She is obedient, well managed and affectionate. Maddie likes her bed and sleeps on the floor beside her foster mom's bed each night. She is house trained and not at all destructive. She will enter a crate when asked to whenever her foster mom has to go out for the day. Maddy eats from a common feeder and sits patiently for treats when offered. Maddy loves toys! She enjoys chasing a ball or tossing around stuffed toys in the yard. She lives to be invited up onto the sofa for some cuddles and will sit beside you to watch a movie or the evening news, she isn't choosy :) She plays well with the other dogs in her foster home but she is not a good match for kitties. She is an excellent most and has even caught a few rats in the shed! She is very quick and likes to show off her catches and be praised for being such a good hunter :) Maddy doesn't mind the attention of getting a bath and loves to be toweled off afterward! She really enjoys that! Maddy would do great in a home with adults or older kids. She is a friendly, confident girl who will seek you out for a pet or two and anything else you are up for. She likes to follow her people around to keep an eye on you in case you need her :) In addition to being a shiny, bright eyed beauty Maddy has a calm, laid back personality. She likes to hang out under a tree in the cool shade in the yard or garden while her people work. Do you think Maddy would be a good addition to your family? One look in her soft brown eyes might be all it takes to convince you she is the perfect dog for you. She would do fine in a home as an only dog or with another dog for company.
