Story
Kylie is a 2-5 year-old, 15-pound female terrier mix from Alabama. Kylie was rescued from a known abuse situation and is very timid at first and scared easily by fast movements or loud noises. Kylie is extremely cuddly once she feels comfortable and becomes a velcro dog once she is attached. She follows her foster mom everywhere. She loves going on walks and is usually great at not minding other dogs or people. She will get spooked with loud noises or if anyone tries to pet her. Her future owner should advocate for her space and not allow strangers to approach or pet her. When someone enters the apartment, she barks, runs, and hides, then comes out with her tail wagging to sniff the person. She'll then usually return to her bed while they visit. While in her foster home, she was wee-wee pad trained and has been adjusting well to an outside bathroom schedule. Her family will need to keep her in a consistent routine to keep up with her progress. She gets very attached to her human and has improved so much being left alone. Her foster mom has been working on this with Kylie, and she's made great progress and settles down after 30 minites or so. She is also doing well in a crate when left home. She will do well with a forever home who will help her keep up this good work! Kylie now lives with both dogs and cats. She is great with other dogs and tries to play with cats, but she may annoy a resident cat who prefers their space. Due to her initial fear and anxiety, Kylie should live in a home without children. Vaccinated for rabies, DHPP, and bordetella. Neutered, heartworm negative, and microchipped. Current on flea, tick, and heartworm prevention. To apply for Kylie, visit our website (www.waggytailrescue.org) for an adoption application. It is important to fill out an application as soon as possible for consideration, and we require a complete application for you to meet an animal. We are currently unable to respond to general email inquiries as an all-volunteer run rescue. If the dog is on our website, they are still available. Waggytail Rescue CANNOT guarantee the exact age of any adoptable dog, or final size of any of our adoptable puppies. We rely on the information provided to us by veterinarians, shelters, owner surrenders and other circumstances bringing the dog into our rescue. Adoptions: adopt@waggytailrescue.org ##2264063##

Story
Meet Freya... Freya is about as special as a rescue pup comes. Ace of Hearts rescued her from death row after she waited for a week in the shelter with dislocated hip and 2 breaks in her left hind leg. She was in immense pain and dealing with her family dumping her but not once did that make her anything but the sweet, sweet dog we know today. Her gentle nature will have you falling head over heels in love. When she is all better, we know she will make an incredible bubbly companion for any human that has the heart to scoop her up and give her what she has never known. Are you Freya's next best friend? She would love to meet you!

Story
šŸŠ Meet Clementine: Your Pocket-Sized Bundle of Joy! 🐾 Looking for a sweet little companion to brighten your days? Meet Clementine, a charming pint-sized pup who's waiting for her forever family. This 16-pound cutie may be small in stature, but she's got a heart of gold and personality for days! Think of a delightful mix between a bouncy terrier and a herding-happy Corgi – that's our Clementine! With her adorably long body and short legs, she's like a living, breathing cartoon character who loves nothing more than playfully bouncing around and showing off her natural herding instincts. While she's currently feeling a bit timid in the shelter environment (who wouldn't be?), Clementine's true nature shines through when she gets comfortable. She's a natural snuggler who forms beautiful bonds with her human friends. In fact, she's already proven herself to be quite the social butterfly – she recently had a successful meet-and-greet with a senior bulldog, showing she can get along wonderfully with other dogs! Clementine would flourish in a loving home where she can come out of her shell and let her playful spirit soar. Whether you're looking for a cuddly companion or an entertaining friend for your resident dog, this little sweetheart could be your perfect match. Ready to give this precious girl the loving home she deserves? Come meet Clementine – we have a feeling you'll fall in love with her just as quickly as we did!

Story
Meet Dexter, a 10 year old Jack Russell mix. Dexter has lived in his current home for 10 years and has seen many changes. Early in his little life a more aggressive dog joined their family who bullied him. This taught him to become possessive of his food and his toys to the point where he also became aggressive in how he deals with people or dogs who get too near. He has also gone from a home with a yard to a small apartment so he doesn't have much room to stretch his legs. Dexter enjoys being active with walks, runs and dog parks. He is cuddly and will curl up for a nap with you wherever you are. He doesn't mind baths and isn’t afraid of thunderstorms. The ideal family for Dexter is one that is active but that doesn’t have other dogs or small children. Does Dexter sound like the dog for you? Story
This precious puppy is our little Beau! He is an approximately 10 week old, 9lb, Terrier mix (Border and Parson Russell possibly) that is the cutest puppy ever! Beau came to us when one of our team members was on the NextDoor app and saw that a man had just posted "free puppy being given away." We know the danger of giving a dog away, especially for free so we contacted the owner and met up with him to take the puppy! Little Beau was so scared and didn't know what was going on. The owner told us he bought him from a friend who's dog had a little of puppies, but after a week of owning Beau, the owner felt that a puppy was just a bit too much for him. It's ok because he is in one of our amazing foster homes and is getting so much love, care, and socialization with other dogs. Beau is such a happy, playful, and loving little guy! We definitely want him in a home with another playful pup and a home with safe and secure yard for him to run around in. Owners that are not gone long hours during the day would be ideal! Beau is one special little boy who deserves the best forever home out there! Beau is vaccinated, microchipped, and will be neutered at the appropriate age. We only adopt in the Greater LA areas as an in person meet/greet, home check, and trial period are required. Please contact us at gina@theforgottendog.org or 310-990-2020 Beau's adoption fee is $600.

Story
This lovely little girl is Tasha! Isn't she the cutest? Tasha came to us as part of an accidental litter where the owners accepted help to get the mom spayed, but needed to find homes for the puppies. We took the puppies into our foundation and Tasha and Evie (her sister) are still looking for their forever homes. Tasha is an 8 month old, female, Border Terrier mix. She is a happy and outgoing dog that loves everyone she meets! We are looking for a home for her that has another sweet and playful dog for her to grow up with and a home that has a safe and secure yard to run around in. Owners that are not gone long hours during the day would be ideal. Tasha's foster mom has nothing but wonderful things to say about our sweet girl and we know that her forever home is out there waiting for her! Tasha is spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped. We only adopt in the Greater LA areas as an in person meet/greet, home check, and trial period are required. Please contact us at: gina@theforgottendog.org or 310-990-2020
