Meet Rosie!A 30lb, 2-year-old, Jack Russell Terrier who came to the shelter alongside her housemate, Lilly, after a sudden loss in her family. The big changes were overwhelming for her, and she arrived feeling very stressed and timid. With time, patience, and lots of consistency from our staff, Rosie has begun to show small but meaningful signs of coming out of her shell with the people she knows best. Rosie does best when people listen to her boundaries. Because of this, she’s looking for a calm, understanding home with children who are teen age or older, where everyone can move at Rosie’s pace and let trust build naturally. She’ll need adopters who are patient, kind, and willing to give her the time she needs to feel safe and secure.In the right home, with steady routines and gentle encouragement, Rosie has the potential to continue blossoming into a loving companion. If you’re someone who believes in going slow, celebrating small victories, and giving a dog the space to be herself, Rosie may be the perfect match for you.We do all adoptions with approved applicants by appointment only. Story
Jerry is energetic and smart. He does have anxiety as the vet stated. I have tried CBD and Prozac but I can’t tell much difference. We did inherit another large dog and it’s hard to say what their status is. I think Jerry likes to play with him but he also becomes very territorial to the other dog. Jerry knows to potty outside but has taken to marking my items. He will need someone that has patience in this area. He likes to cuddle at night but does like his cage. He had allergies in the summer but he had shots and I switched food. If he gets allergies again he will need the shots. He is up to date on vaccines but does not currently have heart worm/flee medicine.

Story
Charlie is the sweetest little guy with so much love to give. He has been wonderful with my children, our cats, and our other dogs. He is a happy, active boy who loves to run and play, so he will do best with someone who has the time to give him regular exercise and attention. He can be a little energetic at times and will need continued training, especially since he struggles with separation anxiety and gets nervous in a crate. This is a very hard decision for me as I am preparing for surgery and won’t be able to give him the time he deserves. When he is not in “GO mode,” he loves snuggling under blankets and being close to his people. He has had a tendency to run out of my front door and unfortunately likes to chase cars as they drive down our street. I have been trying to work with him as much as possible on this. With such a busy schedule it has been hard to be consistent. If you can offer Charlie a loving, patient forever home, please reach out.
