Meet Macho...or as we like to call him, Macho, Macho Man! ?? This one-year-old Rat Terrier mix is equal parts charm, energy, and snuggles, wrapped up in a sleek black-and-brown coat. Macho is the kind of dog who makes every day feel like playtime, whether he’s romping around the yard, playing fetch, chasing a ball like a tiny athlete, or shadowing his humans. He absolutely adores kids, gets along great with other dogs, and even did well with cats - though he may try to recruit them into his play squad. If laughter is the best medicine, Macho’s goofy, sweet personality is basically a full prescription.This lovable guy is as solid as they come. He’s fully housebroken, crate trained (quiet as a mouse in there!), and walks nicely on a leash, though he’s still working on not pulling when excitement kicks in. Macho is also brushing up on his “sit,” “stay,” and “drop it” skills, so he’s got that “work in progress but eager to please” energy we all love (we`re waiting for him to bust out some killer disco moves). Like every Macho Man, he has a tiny “tough guy” streak when it comes to guarding his people, but with consistency and love, he’s already making great strides. After all, even the Macho Man is allowed a soft side...and his is mostly cuddles. The adoption fee is $350 and covers all expenses needed to prepare dogs like this one for their forever homes. By the time you meet them, they’ve already been spayed/neutered (if age-appropriate) and microchipped. They’ve been checked by a veterinarian and are up to date on necessary vaccinations, including Rabies and DHLPP. They have also been tested for heartworm and tick-borne diseases and have started heartworm and flea preventative medication. Some of our dogs have even undergone extensive medical care to ensure they’re ready for a happy, healthy life with you!

CURRENTLY LOCATED IN HAGERSTOWN, MD Meet Bowser! Bowser is a handsome 1–2 year old mixed-breed boy weighing about 40 pounds, making him a great medium-sized companion. We suspect he might have a little Fox Terrier, Akita, Staffordshire Terrier, Rat Terrier, or Bulldog in his mix—but honestly, Bowser is his own unique recipe of fun, affection, and personality! This young guy has a nice balance of playful energy and relaxed companionship. He enjoys a good romp outside, but he’s just as happy resting nearby with the people he loves. Bowser’s Personality • Loves ball toss, yard time, and walks • Enjoys dog toys and especially a good tug-of-war game with a rope or octopus toy • Happy to relax on his own, but also loves placing his head on your lap for a cozy nap • Friendly and playful with a generally easygoing nature Activity Level • Average for a young male dog • Enjoys playing and roaming in the yard • Does not chew household items like shoes or remotes • A great mix of playtime energy and downtime relaxation Training & Home Skills • Leash walking: Average – walks nicely with a harness and doesn’t pull, though he does like to lead the way • Housetraining: About 90% house trained • Crate training: Very challenging but working on it – Bowser tends to bark a lot in a crate and would likely do best in a home where crating isn’t necessary Behavior with Other Animals • Cats: Curious and will bark at and chase cats; Has not shown attempts to harm them • Other Dogs: Good overall and enjoys playtime; May occasionally show dominant behavior around special treats or bones, especially when multiple dogs are present The Basics • Male • 1–2 years old • Neutered • About 40 lbs • Medium-sized mixed breed Bowser would thrive in a home that can give him regular playtime, yard adventures, and plenty of companionship. He’s the kind of dog who will happily join you for a walk, chase a ball in the yard, and then settle down beside you for a peaceful nap.
