Bunny is a loving affectionate cat. Bunny likes to look out the window from the highest location she can find. Sometimes she wants to curl up on your lap and other times she is content for hours hanging out in her cat tree. She is very curious.

Luigi is a handsome Snowshoe Seal-point who was surrendered on February 9, 2023, to a municipal shelter after his owner passed and no family member would take him in.  Luigi was quite grumpy and the shelter thought it was because he was in pain from severe dental disease. He only had 7 teeth, and they all had to be extracted due to grade 4 periodontal disease. After healing, Luigi’s temperament did not change and was deemed unadoptable. On June 28, 2023, Chance at Life was asked if we could take him in. How could we say no to a 5-year-old who had gone through so much already?  He joined us on July 3, 2023. Luigi is a “cats' cat”. He prefers being with other cats over humans. Sometimes, when he hisses, no sound comes out. He has a great appetite and loves treats. He will lick Churu off your fingers. Sometimes he will bite but it does not hurt since he does not have teeth. Luigi likes to lounge in the “tube” part of a cat tree. If you are lucky, you can scratch him while distracting him from the other side. Approximate DOB 02/10/18 Up to date on vaccinations, neutered, micro-chipped and FIV/FeLV negative. You must be at least 18 years of age to adopt. If you live in a parent or guardian's home, they must complete the application. An application does not guarantee an adoption. Meet Loza – A Little Girl Who Sees the World Through Her Heart Beautiful Loza is an adorable 8-month-old female Snowshoe mix with Native Egyptian Mau heritage. She may have been born without sight, but she certainly hasn't let that stop her from enjoying life or giving love. Loza was born blind, and she has been examined by veterinarians on three separate visits, all confirming that her blindness is congenital and that she was born this way. Despite being blind, Loza is an amazing little girl who has learned to navigate her world with her other senses. She is fully litter-trained and knows exactly where her litter box is by its familiar scent. If her box is moved and she cannot locate it, she will simply meow until someone helps guide her back to it. Most importantly, Loza is an incredibly loving, sweet, and affectionate girl. She doesn't know that she's different—she simply knows that she loves people and wants to be loved in return. Loza would do best in a safe, predictable home where her litter box, food, water, and favorite resting places remain in consistent locations. With a little understanding and patience, a blind cat like Loza can live a happy, fulfilling, and deeply loving life. We are a rescue and get what we get in terms of cats in need of a home. In no way do we work with breeders or buy the cats from the Friday markets so we can put them up for adoption as a rescue. Native Mau Cats of Egypt are the oldest known descendants of Egyptian domesticated cats (which have provided a partial foundation for the recent Egyptian Mau cat breed), and they are one of only a few naturally occurring, small, spotted cats in the world. A second health examination is performed before the cat leaves Cairo for the United States. Upon arrival in the United States, the cats are subject to inspection by U.S. Customs and Border Protection and CDC authorities before they are released to their new families. Puzzle is a silly, playful boy who loves people and attention. He is ready to find his forever home with a family who will love him as much as he is ready to love them. Puzzle is approximately 3 years old. He is an active, smart boy who loves to chase toys, solve puzzles, and play with people. He is very affectionate and loves being cuddled and pet. He can occasionally become overstimulated and will nibble at fingers, but he is never aggressive, and immediately responds when told 'no'. Although he came with his name, it is fitting - Puzzle enjoys food puzzles and mazes, new toys, and different activities to provide mental stimulation and engagement. He is good with other cats, but does like to wrestle gently, so would be best with another young adult/middle aged cat that enjoys the same play style. Puzzle is neutered, FeLV/FIV negative, Feline Bartonella negative, fecal tested and dewormed, and has received his full series of FVRCP vaccines and his rabies vaccine. He is generally healthy, but does have Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy (HCM), a condition which causes his heart muscle to thicken. He is receiving medication for the condition, which he takes easily in his food. This is the most common heart disease in cats, and Puzzle had an echocardiogram diagnosing it. It is unknown whether this condition will shorten Puzzle's life; in some animals it progresses rapidly, in others they live full, healthy lives with no worsening of disease. Puzzle will need to see a cardiologist throughout his life to monitor and manage the condition. Due to this, we are looking for an adopter who has an extensive prior vet reference, demonstrating that they will provide this level of care. Puzzle is a wonderful, loving boy who deserves a forever family of his own who will play with him, cuddle him, and love him, and he will return that love 10 fold.
