Story
Meet Lagetha— a Sweet Survivor Looking for Her Forever Home This beautiful Lynx Point Snowshoe mama has been through more than any cat should have to endure, but she is still learning that people can be kind, gentle, and safe. ❤️ She and her five babies — Astrid, Bjorn, Vidar, Kara, and Sigard — were found abandoned on the side of the road. Lagetha was severely undernourished and simply did not have enough nutrition or milk to feed her kittens. Sadly, little Sigard passed away, and we came frighteningly close to losing Vidar as well. Thankfully, the remaining kittens fought hard, and Mom has been there through it all. Because of everything she has experienced, Lagetha is still fearful of humans and will need an adopter who understands that trust takes time. But underneath that fear is a loving cat who truly wants affection. When her foster mom enters the room, Lagetha may hiss at first, but once she hears her foster mom talking to her, her whole attitude changes. She will meow for pets and attention, and she absolutely loves being talked to. She has even learned to trust her foster mom enough to allow her to touch and pet her belly — a huge sign of the trust she is slowly building. Lagetha isn't looking for someone who expects an instantly confident lap cat. She needs someone patient, understanding, and willing to let her set the pace. Give her the time she needs, and you'll get to experience something incredibly special: watching a scared mama cat learn that she is finally safe. We truly believe Lagetha is going to make an amazing companion for the right person. She has already shown us how much love she has to give — she just needs someone willing to earn her trust. If you have a little patience, a lot of love, and room in your heart for a survivor, Lagetha may be the girl you've been waiting for. ❤️   Adoptions are limited to an approximately 150-mile radius from Locust Grove, GA, certain circumstances may allow exceptions.  To apply to adopt this pet, please fill out a Preliminary Adoption Application at https://www.streetpaws.org/home/adopt. This application does not commit you to an adoption. It is used to screen those interested to make sure the home is a good match for the pet and your family. We verify vet history on current/previous pets to ensure pets have been spayed/neutered and vaccinated annually. Please call your vet to give permission for us to call them. Our adoption fee is $125 - 250 for all our cats. They have been given age-appropriate vaccinations, are spayed/neutered, have been feline leukemia/ feline aids tested, dewormed, have received flea prevention, and are micro-chipped. We will ensure the microchip is registered. If more information is needed regarding the pet email info@streetpaws.org. You must complete the pre-application to obtain approval to meet the pet.August 14, 2026, 6:50 pm

Story
Muffin is 2 and 1/2 years old and is a Grey and White Color. He is still recovering from losing his brother but he has come a long way. He is very friendly and vocal, and I am looking for a loving home where he will be well cared for. He has claws and has been neutered. He loves made up lullabies I wrote one to sing to him. He climbs up on my chest when he’s ready for a song and lays down on my chest.Hello cat, I love you; little cat, I love you; hi cat, I love you; hello cat, I love you; little cat, I love you.He loves lullabies!

Story
Hello! My name is Princess Bartholomew Lilith Putt! I am as regal, if not more so, than my name suggests! I go by several other names such as Barti P, Lilith, Lilyputt, and my personal favorite ❤️ Lily ❤️. I am 9 years old, and I will be 10 Feb 2027!! I have been on my thrown for quite some time now and am seeking domicile with a suitor who gives me their sole attention. I currently live with a little brother and I do not like it. Fur on my legs and belly are patchy because I am told being told, I “overgroom” due to my ‘irritation’ of his presence, yet I believe I am simply allergic to him. Sincerely, Lily All kidding aside, Lily is a very sweet girl who loves getting head pets and nose rubs. She loves to just be around you and is pretty quiet. She learned to meow around 6 years old so she sounds a little weird when she does but she tries her best 😂

Story
Wexler is still waiting… The day before Thanksgiving in 2023, Wexler came into our rescue from a terrible hoarding situation with over 60 cats. He was estimated to be around a year old then — just another cat who had likely spent his whole life blending into the background, trying not to ask for too much. At first, we thought his future would be as a barn kitty. He was shy, unsure, and seemed happiest keeping his distance. But after we watched him for a while in our barn kitty program, we felt like there was a different story to be told about this go..... so we decided last fall to let him free roam with our regular fosters. And then we discovered who Wexler really was. Underneath that cautious exterior was a sweet, quirky, tender-hearted boy who had simply never been given enough time. He has the most adorable little snaggle-tooth smile, with one tooth that sticks out just enough to make you grin every time you see him. One of his ears is permanently crumpled from old wounds — a cauliflower ear that tells part of his story before he ever had a chance to tell it himself. He’s a little chunky now, almost 4 years old, and very food motivated (Wexler firmly believes snacks solve many of life’s problems). He’s still shy at first. He won’t run into your arms on day one. Wexler is the kind of cat who needs time to believe you mean it when you say you love him, and will give him the time to show you. But when he trusts you… he LOVES you. And this sweet boy has the softest heart. We joke that Wexler actually gets his feelings hurt if you laugh at him. If he thinks you’re making fun of his funny little smile or his quirks, he’ll quietly disappear and go hide because his tender heart takes things personally. He’s the kind of soul that feels everything deeply. He wants to be near his person. He wants gentle touches, familiar voices, and the comfort of knowing he finally belongs somewhere. After a long and rough journey, he deserves a soft couch instead of hard ground. He deserves warmth instead of weather. He deserves a best friend. And with his fair complexion and his gentle soul, we don’t want this sweet boy going back out into the elements. He has spent enough of his life surviving. Now he deserves to live. Somewhere out there is a person who won't overlook the snaggle tooth, the funny ear, or the shy beginning, and give him the time he needs to acclimate to a new home. Someone who will see Wexler for exactly who he is — a boy with a heart far bigger than his chunky little body, who has been waiting far too long for his forever home. Could his person finally be you? ##1880313##
