Story
Finn came into our life in August 2025 when we found him crying under a car in our alley. He was not chipped and no one responded to many posts online, so after a short stay at Anti-Cruelty we brought him home. He was calm for the first few weeks while getting over a URI, but once he got his energy back we realized we were in for more of a challenge than we thought. He had lots of energy that resulted in pretty frequent play aggression with his humans and getting overly excited around our other cat who is more sensitive, causing her to get overwhelmed. We tried everything including consistent playtime, Feliway, calming treats, CBD and even Prozac, his play aggression has greatly improved from several times a day to maybe once brief incident per week! However, he’s still too overstimulating to peacefully coexist with our other cat, so after 10 months with our sweet boy, we’ve made the difficult decision to rehome him. He needs a home with another young cat to help get his energy out!

When a dog in his foster home fell critically ill, MeiSu was the only foster cat who kept returning to her side, gently sniffing, watching over her, and reaching out with a soft paw to let her know she wasn’t alone. Playtime is where his playful spirit really shines: he goes wild for feather wand toys, happily bats around catnip mice, and is an enthusiastic fan of Cat TV on YouTube. When he’s not mid-pounce, you’ll find him a few feet away from his favorite human, quietly keeping you company while you work, read, or watch TV. His little meows are as entertaining as they are endearing (they are very little). MeiSu is looking for an adopter who understands shy kitties and is willing to let trust grow at his pace. He bonds deeply with his people, and when he finally lets his guard down, it feels like a gift. MeiSu does wonderfully with cat-friendly dogs and enjoys the company of other cats. Older children could be a lovely fit, as long as they understand that gentleness and patience are essential with this sensitive soul. The best things take time; if you give MeiSu yours, he’ll give you his heart. We feel so bad for Mardi Gras. This beautiful Snowshoe cat was dumped at a downstate shelter while delivering kittens, and sadly the outcome wasn’t good. She was a loving momma to the one kitten who survived and has since been adopted — now it’s Mardi Gras’ turn to find the caring family she deserves. Right now, Mardi Gras needs a friend: someone patient, gentle, and willing to show her that people can be kind when you find the right ones. With time, understanding, and love, we know this sweet girl will come out of her shell, start to trust again, and truly live up to her name. Story
My cat can be aggressive with new people and takes time to trust someone. She doesn’t do well with unfamiliar animals or environments and would probably be happiest as the only pet.She loves treats and spends most of her day sleeping. At first, she may hide, avoid contact, or seem distant, but with patience she becomes very attached and loyal. Once she trusts you, she loves being close and may even sleep next to you every night.I’m rehoming her because I already care for two children, have a busy work schedule, and am expecting a baby. She spends too much time alone, and I can no longer give her the attention she deserves. Since she takes time to trust new people, ı can visit once or twice a week at first to help her adjust. I think seeing familiar face will make the transition easier for her. Only contact me if yu ar patient and experienced with cats. I dont want to take her to shelter because of euthanized. She is healthy and just need time, patience, and understanding.
