This sweet girl is full of love and is always looking for ways to share it with the people around her. Jem has a gentle, affectionate nature and enjoys being close to her humans, offering quiet companionship and plenty of loving moments. With her soft coloring and expressive presence, she’s truly as stunning on the inside as she is on the outside. She’s ready to leave shelter life behind and find her forever home with a family who will cherish her as much as she will cherish them. If you’re looking for a devoted, loving companion, Jem is ready to meet you. She's available for foster or adoption at the Animal Protective League, located at 1001 Taintor Road in Springfield. We are open every day from noon to 5 p.m.

Story
Tig is a two year old (Born in May) snowshoe. He has a white belly and a dark brown mask and dark brown back. Duchess is a three year-old (born in June) tortoise shell mix with grey and orange fur. Tig it extremely loving,! He loves to be cuddled and pet and carried around. He has lived with two little girls his whole life and is very used to kids and does not scratch or bite unless he’s nibbling to play. Duchess does not like to be held or picked up, but when she comes up to you on her own time, she loves to climb up by your shoulders and your head and rub against you and be very sweet. Duchess only has 3 feet, her back left paw is missing. Her umbilical cord was wrapped around her paw at birth and caused it to break and fall off. She has not known any other way her whole life and has adapted to life without that paw. Unfortunately, we have found out that they are making my daughter’s allergies much worse, and we regret that we have to rehome but need them to stay together!
