Ladies and gentlemen, meet CHINO "Rinooo" 🐾
At 140 pounds, Chino is a whole lot of dog wrapped up in one incredibly gentle, lovable package. He looks like he should be pulling a sled through the Alps, but this giant boy is actually the biggest baby who seems completely unaware of just how big he is.
Chino will headbutt you for affection, whine like a Chihuahua, and happily follow you from room to room, occasionally tripping over his own feet along the way. He has never once used his size to intimidate anyone. In fact, he seems to have no idea he's enormous.
His idea of an exciting day is a burst of zoomies followed by 23 hours of expert level lounging. He loves sitting by the fence overlooking the valley, supervising the neighbourhood farm animals like the world's chillest security guard. He has server hip dysplasia so is looking for soft surfaces, no stairs and someone who can provide joint supplements for life.
🐕 Dog friendly: Chino loves other dogs and seems to believe everything is friend shaped. 😂 On leash, he can get a little reactive because he desperately wants to go make friends. He may pull, whine, or get frustrated when he can't say hello, but there is no aggression behind it. He simply has an enthusiastic social calendar! He's been working on this and will need a family willing to continue helping him learn that he doesn't need to meet every dog he sees. He is also curious but gentle with cats and unbothered by farm animals.
👨👩👧 Good with kids: Chino is good with children, although supervision is always recommended because he genuinely doesn't realize how big he is.
🚗 Crate trained: He's a dream in his crate, sleeps through the night, and has no separation anxiety. He's equally happy hanging out on his bed.
🎓 Training: 100% house trained, knows "sit," and has good recall. He's continuing to work on leash manners.
❤️ Chino's favourites: WATER, cuddles, stuffies, bones, lick mats, beef treats, belly rubs, and his couch throne.
Chino isn't a fan of loud noises or unfamiliar places, so he'll do best with a patient family who can give him time to settle in.
Underneath all 140 pounds is a goofy, affectionate gentle giant who just wants to be near his people. He's looking for a loving home with plenty of couch space and belly rubs. 💕
