Story
Muncie, IN - Miley - will be 2 year old (DOB 08/23/22) full bred saint bernard (UTD and NOT spayed - weighs about 120 lbs.) but must be thru an adoption contract (I personally can help with her spay costs). She is very health and quite pretty. Miley needs a home that is experienced with saint bernards. She is absolutely beautiful!!! She is cat friendly but hit or miss with other dogs, esp. females, but that goes with her not being spayed. She is an excited happy girl that still acts like a puppy. She loves people and kids but can be a bit excited with the kiddoes. Iif you have children experienced with large breed kid-loving dogs, she is the gal for you. FROM HER MOMMA: Miley is a sucker for belly rubs! She will plop on the floor and demand to be pet! she will also redirect your hand to rub her chest when she feels like it, she loves sleeping under the bed and any cool space in the house. she loves to be groomed and brushed as i have always done it at home to bond with her and she likes the blow dryer on cool. she will play footsie with you and always has to have her paw on top of your hands/feet. she loves to lean on you and put all of her weight into it! she also loves a quiet walk. she likes diving into a ‘lay down’ and slides across the floor as she does it. she also loves to run laps around the yard over and over- super high energy! as well as playing rough or wrestling. she loves behind the ear scratches. FAMILY IS WILLING TO TRANSPORT TO THE BEST HOME POSSIBLE (within reason).

Very loving and loves attention & being petted. Independent, can be stubborn at times which goes with the breed. Good with other pets and people, but would not recommend with small children. A big teddy bear for the right owner.

Story
> good with indoor cats, not outdoor cats as she becomes prey driven. > good with dogs, would benefit from a meet and greet first. > potty trained but needs let out at least three times a day to prevent accidents. > loves all people and Is only 1 belly rub away from being your new best friend. > Very mild food aggression if any animals try to eat out of her designated food bowl. Not food aggressive towards people at all. > had a cruciate ligament tear inx her knee at some point but two vets have said surgery is not required as it is an old injury that has had scar tissue to grow around it. She gets around just fine and isn’t in pain from it. Will likely need arthritis pain medication in the future according to her most recent vet visit. > she loves soft squeaky toys to play with but must be watched or she will eat them! She will also eat socks if she gets bored so make sure she gets walks and attention and to keep socks off the floor.

Story
Meet Sushi!! Sushi is believed to be a Bernese Mountain dog Australian shepherd beagle mix maybe lab too. Honestly, your guess is as good as ours. What we do know is Sushi is 4 years old. We rescued her from a local shelter last year due to her being labeled behavior. Sushi was very feral fearful and the shelter environment was way more than she could handle. Since Sushi has been with us she has learned to trust, meet people, accept all, and even enjoy human interaction. She has blossomed, learned to trust humans and to walk away if she feels unsure and or scared. Sushi has become a social butterfly and does great with dogs and is cat friendly too. Sushi requires easy intro with dogs, just remind her she is okay and to be nice. She actually listens very well too. Sushi has met and been around hundreds of dogs. She is a fairly easy calm but medium energy active dog. A fence in the yard is preferred, apartment living would be ok as well. As long as she gets her daily walk and exercise. Older children preferred. Sushi will do best with independent calm mellow dogs that will offer space and respect her but also will join her with playful running, again easy intro, or she be just as happy as an only dog. Sushi loves to eat (don't we all) and could lose a few pounds. Sushi enjoys daily walks, trails, swimming, and snuggling with her humans. She loves playing with dog toys with her humans. Sushi would make a great first-time pet owner who is willing to give her 110%. Sushi is house and crate trained, up to date on all appropriate core vaccines including lepto, corona as well as rabies shot, dewormed, fecal tested negative, microchipped, neutered, and current on monthly heartworm flea/tick prevention. Updated: 3/25/2023 www.animalhousesanctuary.org We believe training is an ongoing process that needs to be worked on daily. New issues that arise, need to be addressed and/or rewarded. Understanding that continued training is a lifetime commitment, is very important. Out-of-state adopters are welcome at the adopter's expense. Meet & Greets are a required before proceeding with an adoption. We DO NOT ship any of our pets.
