Story
Herkules is a returned adoption, due to issues with their other dog. He was born here in 2023 to Shamus and Shakira, along with 9 litter mates! He`s a sweet, loving, gorgeous dog who unfortunately is back with us because he and the owner`s other dog had had a couple fights - not sure who started them, so we don`t know if it was just not the right situation for him, or if he truly does not get along with other dogs, even though the 2 had been together from the start! He has shown some food aggression towards other dogs since he`s been back, but nothing towards people. More to come as we get to know him as an adult.

Story
Wally is a Saint Bernard, born approximately September 2023.  The perfect home for Wally is a home with no other dogs and older kids (age 6+) or no kids. Wally previously lived in a home with other dogs, but would do better on his own.  He is house trained and he gets along with strangers.  Wally needs a fenced yard to explore or lounge.  He would love to be with someone who enjoys going for an occasional walk. Wally is a loving and protective boy.  If you love having a large dog as your companion, Wally just might be your guy! The suggested adoption donation for Wally is $400, which includes a lifetime of free relationship-based training for any behavioral problems (not obedience training). Muddy Paws is a 501c3 non-profit organization meaning that part of your donation MAY be TAX DEDUCTIBLE. We are a 100% volunteer rescue committed to giving animals a second chance at life. All donations go toward that mission. Adoption fees are the primary source of funding for the cost of veterinary care for our animals. In 2022 alone, we provided animal Healthcare totaling over $399,000 covered mainly through adoption fees. Please Note: A Courtesy Post designates that an animal is still in the home of its owner and not in a Muddy Paws foster. This means that our exposure to the animal is limited since we only assist the owner in finding a new home for their pet. From time to time, owners find a new furever home for their pets outside of Muddy Paws Last Chance Rescue, and there is a delay in removing them from our site. We apologize if the Courtesy Post you apply to adopt is unavailable for adoption.Information about the adoption process: All adoptions require a completed ADOPTION APPLICATION. Once your application has completed our prescreen steps, we will put you in touch with the animal’s foster to see if you and the pet are a good match. If so, we will arrange a meeting for you and the animal. The adoptions for all of our animals will take place in the Omaha, NE area and must be done by the adoptive family in person. We do not ship or deliver. Please Note: We are a RESCUE, which is different from a shelter. We conduct veterinary and personal reference checks, and a Home Visit (Virtual in some cases) during the application approval process. We always select the right applicant for each animal, based on the animal’s needs. If you and the animal are not a good match, we will help you select another animal, or we will keep your approved application on file for 6 months.   To learn about Muddy Paws Last Chance Rescue or donate to our animals, please visit our website at MuddyPawsSecondChanceRescue.com or our Facebook Page Muddy Paws Second Chance Rescue Inc. ##2680606##

Story
Hello, this is Koda she is a super sweet 6 year old, she loves kids, adults and all the attention! We just adopted her from a previous owner but she isn’t working out with our other senior dog and she has a lot of separation anxiety when we are gone. She loves to be brushed or vacuumed, loves all the tv shows, loves attention from anyone and everyone, she thinks she’s a lap dog and if you are sitting on the floor she will push you over to lay on you! If you chose her she will love you immediately and be your best friend!
