Meet Lucy! Lucy would love a home for the holidays! Lucy is a senior St. Bernard. She weighs about 104 pounds and is 8 years old. Lucy came from a breeding mill where she lived her whole life, but Lucy sure adjusted quickly. Lucy is now spayed and fully vetted. Lucy is in foster care with dogs of all ages and sizes. She does great with all the dogs, but we think she'd do best with calmer passive dogs. Lucy is past the age of rolling around with puppies. She prefers to be cozy on the couch with other canine companions and humans. Lucy is potty trained and enjoys the back yard. At first, Lucy did not know how to climb stairs. But she is a fast learner, and within days Lucy learned how to use the stairs. Smart girl! Story
Falkor has been with us around 1 and 1/2 years. He is a very sweet dog who is very protective over his family. Unfortunately this has led to incidents where he has nipped and bit at a new visitor right at the entrance to the home. He is up to date on his shots and has completed a required quarantine. He also does have a bad behavior of eating any unguarded food. Some of these habits come from his time where he was abused by a previous owner before us. That said though he is very sweet and loves to play in the yard with kids and other dogs that he knows. Our youngest is 4 and he tolerates him by typically getting up and moving away. At this time we have kids that are at ages where they want to have friends over all the time and we do not feel Falkor is getting the best treatment since during those visits he has to be isolated to the kitchen or outside to avoid future incidents. We want to find him a home that will love him
