Story
Benny is a 4-month-old, 22 lb Cavalier/St. Bernard mix, and he’s got a heart every bit as big as his paws. Rescued from a puppy mill, Benny is now getting the second chance he deserves at a life full of love, play, and belly rubs. Despite his rough start, Benny absolutely *adores* everyone he meets. His tail starts wagging the moment he spots a new friend — whether they have two legs or four. This sweet boy is full of playful energy and curiosity, always ready for his next little adventure. Benny loves romping around with his toys, especially anything that resembles a stick (because every great adventure starts with a good “stick,” right?). A home with a nice yard where he can run, explore, and have the occasional zoomie session would be his dream come true. He’s always up for a game of fetch or investigating whatever interesting thing catches his eye. He’s currently working hard on his potty training and making great progress every day. Benny is a smart pup who truly wants to please — he just needs a patient, loving family to keep guiding him as he grows. With consistency, encouragement, and a little humor, he’s sure to blossom into an amazing companion. If you’re looking for a joyful, energetic, affectionate puppy to grow up alongside your family, Benny might just be your perfect match. He’s ready to leave his past behind and start his forever adventure… could that be with you? 🐾💛 Benny is currently fostered in Cincinnati, OH. His adoption fee is $400.00. To adopt this animal, please visit https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt All of our animals come spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, are microchipped, heartworm negative, current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, dewormed, and treated for any ailments found upon veterinary examination. The adoption fee covers a portion of these services, and makes it possible for us to continue rescuing animals. For more information on the adoption fees and the adoption process, please complete our adoption application here: https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt - an application allows us to get to know your family better so we can assess whether the animal you are interested in is a good match for your home. An application does not obligate you to adopt. Please understand that due to the volume of applications some animals receive, we are unable to contact all applicants. If your application is considered a good fit for the animal you are interested in, or even a different pet, a volunteer will give you a call as soon as possible. We are a foster based rescue and do not have a shelter location where animals can be seen during the week. Please see our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/LouiesLegacy for our weekly adoption album if you are interested in meeting an animal in person. Not all animals attend every adoption event, please check our Facebook page for animal event times and locations before you make a trip to meet a specific animal.

Story
Penelope — lovingly called Penny — is a 4-month-old Cavalier/St. Bernard mix who weighs just 16 pounds, but don’t let her size fool you. This little girl is **small but mighty** and full of personality! Penny was rescued from a puppy mill and is now ready to start the happy life she always deserved. Despite her rough beginning, she greets the world with a wagging tail that truly **never seems to stop**. She’s a joyful, affectionate pup who loves people and is always excited to be part of the action. With her cream coat and adorable black spots, Penny looks like she stepped right out of the movie *101 Dalmatians*. Her unique coloring makes her just as special on the outside as she is on the inside. Penny absolutely **loves being outside**. Whether she’s exploring the yard, sniffing around for new discoveries, or enjoying a little burst of playful energy, she’s always ready for an adventure. And while she enjoys her outdoor fun, she also knows how to settle down once she’s inside. After a day of play, Penny is happiest curled up next to her people, soaking up all the snuggles she can get. She may be petite, but Penny definitely knows how to **use her voice** when she wants to share her thoughts! This confident little lady has plenty of personality packed into her small frame. Penny is also diligently working on her potty training and making progress every day. With a patient family, consistent routine, and lots of love, she will continue to grow into an incredible companion. If you’re looking for a playful, loving puppy who can keep up with your adventures and then cuddle up beside you at the end of the day, **Penny might be the perfect addition to your family.** Her tail is wagging in anticipation of finding her forever home! 🐶💛 Penelope is currently fostered in Cincinnati, OH. Story
My name is Logan HOWLett. I'm fluffy like my namesake, but much sweeter, and taller. I am 2 years old; my birthday is actually December 24th. I am a mix of Saint Bernard and pittie mix so I get bursts of energy and people are my jam! Running and adventuring make me happy but then give me a blanket and a lap and you will have the happiest of pups. I love people followed by treats and ice cubes!  I do well in my crate and will sleep through the night, but I'd be more than happy to snuggle up with you in bed and keep you warm.  All of our dogs are spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, microchipped and if over 6 months of age, heartworm tested and on heartworm preventative in their foster home. We require an approved application to meet any of our dogs. We do not have a shelter location and will not arrange a meeting without an approved application. We strive to make sure the bios provided for our dogs are complete and accurate; we do understand that mistakes happen, however, so if you absolutely cannot find the answer to your question in the dog's bio, you can contact us for more information. We require a home visit for each dog we adopt out, so we adopt within a 2 hour radius of Dayton, OH. If you are outside of this radius, we encourage you to contact your local rescue or shelter.   March 7, 2026, 9:24 am
