Story
Turk is sweet, lovable 4 year old dog(111 lbs) who believes he's a lap dog. Turk is a Saint Berdoodle that we purchased from a local breeder. He is affectionate and loyal once he feels comfortable and gets to know you. Turk has a timid personality, especially around new people. He does best in a calm, lower activity home, as a lot of activity or unfamiliar people can make him nervous. He prefers not to have strangers approach him right away. A few things about Turk: Turk is neutered and microchipped, Completely house trained, crate trained, sweet and loving, listens well to commands, trained with an electronic collar and accustomed to an electric fence; he has always respected the fence boundary, does best with a predictable routine and quieter environment, needs patience meeting new people. Looking for a home that has a yard, calm environment, patience and stability and someone that understands his personality. He is good with other dogs. He has not been around any other animals.

Rufus is a 3 1/2-year-old Male Shepherd mix. He was found as a stray on Carlton rd. His favorite game to play is fetch, and he is VERY treat motivated. Rufus is also a professional at tearing up his stuffed animals! He also knows sit, lie down, and paw! Rufus would highly benefit from some professional training. He can be very mouthy and does not like putting on a leash. He also can be very picky with the other dogs here at the shelter. So, we recommend a home with no other dogs. Rufus is a dog that you will need to come in and spend a lot of time with so he can get familiar with you. Dogs are available to meet before their adoption date. The Dog Shelter's adoption fee is $64 (cash or check). All dogs come with DHPP and Bordetella vaccines, microchipped, a current year dog license, and a certificate to be spayed or neutered (The Dog Shelter pays for it). If it is an owner surrender dog, more vaccine information may be provided. Our hours are Monday thru Friday 10AM-12:00PM and 1PM-4PM and Saturdays 10AM to 2PM. You must be present to adopt and have a current approved adoption application.
