He was rescued from a shelter in Northern Ontario along with his daughter, McVie, who will also be available for adoption soon. **About Daltry:** Daltry is known for his affectionate nature and enjoys snuggling. He has a habit of leaning against his humans, earning him the title of "Professional Leaner." He appreciates the comforts of home, including curling up on a sofa or sleeping in bed with his human companions. Daltry thrives on companionship and is best suited for someone who is home most of the time. He would be happiest as the only dog in the household, as he has shown some jealousy when his human gives attention to other dogs. This well-mannered dog is not destructive in the home, making him a great addition to any family. Due to his size and the current weather conditions, Daltry has not yet had the opportunity to work on his leash manners, which will need to be further developed. Daltry has been neutered, vaccinated, heartworm tested, and microchipped. His adoption fee is $750.00, which includes his health records and microchip registration. Story
Hi my name is Penny! My favorite thing to do is cuddle, and I love people! I enjoy wandering around outside with you and finding new and interesting things. I will even show you things I find, keeping you in the loop of our adventures. I am learning more every day how to be a `pet`. Getting into the car, playing with toys and engaging in play are new skills I am quickly learning. I was found as a stray with Piper, but after further assessment it has been decided I would be better off as the only animal in the house. I need more socializing with new unknown dogs and I will need a dedicated person or family to help me learn to let go and be taken care of in new situations. I just need the proper guidance and I will follow you to the very end! MY IDEAL HOME INVOLVES...CHILDREN: Yes, I love everyone!CATS: No, thank youOTHER DOGS:I do not get along with strange dogs at this time, but I am willing to work with you.FIRST-TIME DOG OWNERS: Experience with large dog breeds is recommended but not required.FENCED-IN YARD: A fenced in area would benefit me to roam around but stay safe from wandering. I enjoy lounging outside on nice days. HOUSING ENVIRONMENT: I would do well in a busy or quiet household.SOMEONE HOME MOST OF THE DAY: I would do okay being left alone for 8 hours/regular work shift.SOME OTHER THINGS TO KNOW ABOUT ME....ACTIVITY LEVEL: Low to MediumHOUSE-TRAINED: Yes!BIRTH DATE: Unknown - Estimated 2021/2022
