Story
Moose is currently being fostered in the Newmarket area   This St. Bernard is a sweet 2 year old boy named Moose. He is currently being fostered with another large female dog, an elderly cat, and two children. He was being fostered with a small dog before and was great with him. Moose has experience living with a family before he came into rescue and was only surrendered due his family's life situation. He is fantastic with everyone in the foster home and they have experienced no issues to suggest he was rehomed due to temperament or health. His only issue is his size and the fact he doesn't know he is big. He wants to be a lap dog to the two kids he totally outweighs. The kids still love this goofy boy. He really has a gentle heart and disposition. The foster home doesn't use a crate as they keep the dogs baby gated in the kitchen. Mr. Moose will counter surf given the opportunity but who can resist leftovers. Other than the occasional counter surfing Moose is not destructive and does not guard his toys or food. He is quiet in the house and has been left alone without incident.   April 29, 2024, 8:58 am

Story
Odin is a colossal cuddle monster that never misses out on snuggle session. This senior gentleman is searching for the right family that has lots of time to spend with him. He enjoys showing off his skills at shake a paw, sit, lay down and stay. He enjoys going for leisurely walks and does very well on leash. Odin would like to spend his golden years as the only pet in the home as he is selective with certain dogs and does not like cats. So if you have a big enough couch to fit this old boy and lots of love to give, give us a call to set up an appointment to meet him.Odin is currently hanging out at one of our fosters until adopted.

Story
Freddy has a very interesting story! He was a local stray that was running for weeks. Many people tried to catch him but he was very scared. Eventually Freddy was secured and brought to a local Humane Society. He was extremely underweight and had very sore paws from running for so long. He was never claimed which means he was most likely dumped to fend for himself. Freddy was transferred to us because he needed further evaluation and training. In a short period of time, we have seen Freddy evolve. He is learning to walk on a leash. He is very smart and knows sit and paw already! Freddy is extremely food motivated. He is strong and working on his leash manners. Freddy has extreme fear with strangers, especially tall men. He is looking for a teen or older family that will work on building his confidence. Freddy requires slow introductions to new people, therefore he would do best in a house with not too many visitors. Freddy is being evaluated with dogs and seems to do well with female dogs and also some male dogs that are calm and social.
