Allie is a 6 year old female. She is 80 lbs. She is a super strong girl on the leash. She loves to counter surf and get in the trash. ?? You know where she has been because she leaves a trail of slobber behind. She is dog selective. She did not do well with cats. Kids who are used to large dogs would be fine. ** Allie is in our care in Altoona PA. She is available for adoption. Each animal gets microchipped, 4DX tested, spayed/neutered and vaccinated. The adoption fee covers those costs. Adoption fees are listed on the application. An application must be filled out in order to visit with any dog or cat. They can be found on our website www.centralpahumane.org under the Adopt A Pet tab or at the shelter. Our animals are posted on Facebook and Petfinder when time permits. A Petfinder inquiry is not an application, and they may not be responded to. We can only accept so many applications for each animal. We do adopt out of state, but we cannot hold the animal. **PA Kennel License #1333.

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Please say hello to Beth! Beth is a Bernese Mountain Dog/ Husky Mix. She was born December 7, 2018. Prior to coming into rescue she lived her life in a small kennel inside of a barn, breeding puppies over and over. She had no name, they called her 'Dog.' Beth is learning a whole new life outside of the farm. She is playful but will need time to open up. She is scared of new things and has only lived in a barn stall her whole life. She loves being outside so will require a fenced in yard and a home with older children. Beth loves playing with other dogs so a home with another dog would be fine. But she can be an only dog. She loves playing with stuffies and will lay with them. She has never lived in a home so it will all be new. She will need patience from adopter so she can trust them. Beth will be a committed companion. Once Beth is comfortable she is good with anyone. She is spayed, up to date on vaccines and microchipped.
