She loves people and dogs. She is a bit shy and timid at first. She loves to hang out with her human. At her foster house she helps garden by keeping the yard clear of squirrels, groundhogs, bunnies and deer.  When she is not working outside she loves sleeping on you. She does make a good weighted blanket while watching TV and winding down at the end of the day.  She is getting used to walks, meeting new people and exploring smells. She loves playing  fetch  and chewing sticks. She does not like the crate. She is easy to train and is food motivated.  Like : Mia loves to lie down next to you and cuddle . She does like chew toys, sticks and tennis balls. She  is happy to just lie around inside the house or outside in the yard. She  does gets her zoomies and enjoys running around with her foster brother. She is very silly and not a dull moment with her around. If you like taking your dog everywhere you go, she is the one.  Dislikes :  She doesn't like the crate. She will go in if you ask her but will get out easy, a master at breaking out of the crate.  Personality: Mia  is super friendly. She enjoys the company of people and dogs. She is goofy and loves belly rubs and will lie down in the middle of the road for belly rubs . She loves to walk and explore the world with her family. She does not run away and stays close to her family. She is super easy to love. She is curious about cats and is a bit scared of them. She behaves like a playful puppy.  She is always 2 steps behind you or in your way.  Temperament: She is calm when inside the house and playful and goofy outside. Will wait patiently for food or toy or pets. No jumping or barking for attention.  Energy level: She is medium energy. Will walk a mile and will chase a ball or stick. Will lie around most of the time. Favorite activities : She loves to run around and play with her foster brother. She does like to chew on toys. She likes her walks. She loves chasing squirrels and bunnies. Loves socializing. Good with cats, dogs, and kids (over 6) ? : She  is good with kids and dogs. She is shy and scared of cats (cats can be mean).  Requires a fenced yard (physical fence and or invisible fence)?: a fenced yard would be nice for Mia but not necessary. She likes to lie outside for long periods of time and likes to smell the  garden and everything in it.  Walks well on a leash?: yes. If she sees a dog on her walk he will try to walk up to say hi, she is learning that not everyone likes to say hi. She is learning not to pull on the leash.  Challenges: she hates the crate and will whine till she is let out. She hates to be confined. Any medical issues?: None that we know of. What would be the best kind of home?: Mia is a friendly, loving  dog. She would be happy with a family that has another dog, can take her on walks and give her lots of pets. She would benefit from having someone at home. She does not like to be left alone for long periods of time. Someone who can work on her leash skills and take her out where ever they go.    Application Fees, Adoption Donations and Rescue Policy: Please know that 100% of our fees and donations pay for the costs of rescuing dogs. Story
Dani is a 5 month old, female St. Bernard mix surrendered to the rescue by her owner stating he worked too many hours and was unable to meet Dani's needs. Dani is a very friendly, happy girl with lots of enrgy but very little training. Dani is now ready to be adopted by experienced St. Bernard or “big dog” people who have the time and resources to give Dani the active attention, training, and exercise she needs. Due to Dani's size & 5-month-old puppy-in-need-of-training, she is not a good match for a home with small children at this time. If interested in Dani please contact Tri-County Animal Rescue Center on Facebook, or call 814-918-2032, or email: contactus@Tricounty-arc.org

Story
NEMACOLIN, PENNSYLVANIA - CHLOE - female saint pup. Turned 2 years 4 months old (DOB 12-24-2021). She is spayed and UTD. Free to home that is qualified. This girl is just a pup looking for a family where they spend time with her and part of a family. Loves the yard and running and playing with the other dogs. FROM OWNER: I want to start off saying I hate this I love my Chloe to me she’s a wonderful dog. She’s just a lot but that’s just her but to me, she’s perfect so now about Chloe. She was born December 24th 2021 She is great with kids I have a 1 year old and a 5 year old. She’s good with other dogs but I would put her with a home where she could be the only dog! She needs a lot of attention. She CANNOT be with cats or bunnies for sure! She does okay with lizards but like I said I would put her as an only animal if you could. Needs help/training better on a leash. If left outside too long or for a long period of time alone, she WILL DIG OUT FROM FENCES. She just wants to be with her people. Not all the time but like if she’s left out to long alone for her she will dig out she doesnt leave the yard normally though. I want to say I do not want her going to a “foster” . I want her to go to a home where she has LOTS of room to run and where she will be loved. Where she can be the main focus. I want what’s best for her I’m only rehoming her because i know she deserves better than what I’m offering her but I don’t want her going to just the first home out there I want to make sure it’s the right one.

Story
Axel is a 4-year-old unaltered male. He came to the shelter as a stray. Axel is an adorable dog who loves walking and playing with his tennis balls. He seems to do well with other dogs, but a meet and greet is still required.
