Story
🐾 Meet Honey – Sweet by Name, Sweeter by Nature 🐾 Age: ~1.5–2 years Breed Guess: St. Bernard / Boxer Mix Crate Trained • Dog-Friendly • Kid-Loving True to her name, Honey is as sweet as they come. She’s about 1.5 to 2 years old and still has that playful, puppy-at-heart charm. Honey is one of those rare dogs who never meets a stranger — she adores people, gets along beautifully with other dogs, and is especially gentle around kids. Earlier this year, Honey raised six healthy puppies and was the most loving, attentive mom. Now that her pups are grown, it’s her turn to be taken care of and find the forever home she deserves. Honey is: • Calm and quiet around the house • Always up for playtime with her dog friends • Crate trained and well-mannered indoors • A big fan of belly rubs, especially from little hands With her soft eyes and gentle soul, Honey brings warmth and calm wherever she goes. She’s the kind of dog who just fits— whether that’s joining you for a walk or snoozing peacefully by your side. Story
The only magic trick this fun-loving goofball knows is making everyone smile! Houdini is a young, energetic pup who lives for playtime with other dogs. He’s all about zoomies, tail wags, and goofy grins. Houdini is smart and loves training—but sometimes his excitement gets the best of him, and he just has to shout “HELLO!” to every person and pup he sees. With a little patience and continued guidance, he’s going to be a star student. If you`re looking for a playful companion who brings joy, laughs, and a little bit of chaos in the best way—Houdini’s your guy!If you think this dog could be a good match for your home and would like to learn more, stop by our Boston Adoption Center. We have open adoption hours Tuesday-Sunday from 12pm-3pm – no appointment needed to speak to a staff person regarding available dogs. Preparing your home for your new dog or puppy ahead of time can help ease the transition for your new pet and set you both up for success should there be a dog that’s a good match! To learn more about how to make the first few weeks with your new dog or puppy the most successful it can be, please visit www.mspca.org/petresources. For more information on our adoption process, please visit https://www.mspca.org/adoption-centers/how-to-adopt/ Please note, in an effort to keep the stress levels reduced for the dogs in our care, our dog kennel areas will not be open to walk through. Interested adopters will work with a matchmaker on staff to determine which dog(s) they’re interested in - and if we can identify a match, potential adopters will be able to meet those dogs outside of the kennel. Cat and small animal areas will remain open to walk through.

Adoptable in: MA, RI, NH, CT, and VTGood with dogs: Yes, with proper introsGood with cats: Yes, dog-savvy catsGood with kids: Kids 16+Crate trained: YesHouse trained: YesJoey is a distinguished gentleman who's ready to be a part of your family! He is a medium-energy pup who can run and play with a doggie friend, yet can be mellow and chill. Above all, Joey loves his humans and enjoys an adventurous walk or a long cuddle on the couch. After a proper introduction, he loves to play with other dogs of any size. He would likely do well with or without another canine sibling. Joey's interacted fine with dog-savvy cats in his foster home, so he'd be fine with or without a cat in the home. Because Joey needs his personal space respected and would rather not have small humans approach too quickly, he would do best in a home with older teens (16+) in the home. Not only does he come with strikingly good looks, but he is also filled to the brim with personality and intelligence. Joey is fully crate-trained and house-trained. He is crated occasionally throughout the day and overnight without any issues. Joey walks well on leash and enjoys his daily walks.Don't let Joey's age fool you, he would love a family who's excited to teach an old dog new tricks- is he the one for you? Please Note: All dogs currently available for adoption are posted on our website. If you cannot find a particular dog on our website, he/she may be on a temporary foster hold. All dogs are otherwise posted until they are officially adopted. This dog may have other interested adopters in line. If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an application.Questions? Bernie is an overgrown puppy and about as sweet as can be. He gets along well with a variety of dogs. Sometimes he is unsure of a larger, boisterous dog but with time, he will become more sure of himself. He will need some room to run around and play - a fenced in yard or a dog park (great for building confidence). Bernie is seeking the perfect match of a fun-loving family or an active single person. He will be your best friend.FOCCAS is a foster based, non-profit rescue in Crossville, TN.
