Story
Meet Jerry! He is 2 years old, neutered, and current on all immunizations. Jerry was rescued from a neglectful environment that never allowed him to enjoy his puppy years. Regardless, this goofy boy is so happy and playful with so much love to give. Jerry loves to play with his other dog friends, loves water, and his toys. That being said, Jerry is a lower energy dog. He is a GREAT sleeper and would happily spend a lazy day on the couch with his family. He is leash trained, potty trained, and is great with humans and dogs of all ages! Reach out with any questions you may have or to schedule a meet and greet. We look forward to hearing from you!

Story
Meet Hagrid! Hagrid is a big ol’ sweetheart and a true gentle giant at 100 pounds of love and sloppy kisses. With his mild and laid-back nature, he’s the perfect companion for someone who appreciates a calm and loving dog. He’s about 5 years old and a Great Pyrenees/lab mix. His foster got his dna test done! This big boy enjoys following his favorite person around and being part of your day-to-day life. Hagrid seems to get along well with other dogs, but may be better suited as a loyal solo companion. Hagrid needs a loving family that is willing to provide additional care for him in the future if need be. He has been diagnosed with a MRSP skin infection that may require ongoing care and medication throughout his life to keep him itch free and comfortable. Although MRSP can be treated and cured, there is also a possibility that ongoing treatment may be required. Hagrid is currently responding to his treatment and is a happy, go lucky boy! Are you ready to welcome this big bundle of love into your family and give him the extra care down the road if he needs it?IMPORTANT: Please read all below, especially if you live outside of Texas, which is where our rescue is located.Apply to adopt on our website: https://www.charmingpetrescue.org/adoptAll of our animals are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on shots.ALL of our animals are located in Boerne, TX, but transport after adoption is available to other states for a $300 fee for dogs or an additional fee varying by location for cats. If you are seeing our pets posted in your state, that's because you live near a transport stop, they are not currently at that location. Petfinder lists our pets as "Out of Town" pets at other locations, and Adopt-a-Pet lists our location as a Transport stop. Those are currently the only options they offer to make this clear, so we put this description we've put at the bottom to explain it. You can read more about transport here: www.charmingpetrescue.org/transportWe understand transport is not an option for everyone, but we offer it at the cost we pay the transport company for those who wish to adopt from us.

Story
Meet Bonnie (affectionately called Bon Bon), a 6-month-old Anatolian Shepherd mix with movie star looks and a heart full of joy. With her striking eyes that look like she’s always wearing eyeliner, Bonnie is as stunning as she is sweet. She’s currently being fostered in New Braunfels, TX, and is growing into a playful, affectionate companion. Bonnie is dog-friendly and loves romping around with her foster brothers. Whether it’s chasing a ball during a game of fetch, gnawing on a chew bone, or simply running around the yard, she’s always up for fun. With medium to high energy, she thrives in a home where she has space to stretch her legs and a family who can keep up with her playful spirit. She’s already mastered “Sit” and walks well on a leash, showing off just how smart she is. Bonnie is working on her housetraining and making great progress every day. Her kennel is her safe haven—she naps there and sleeps through the night like a champ. Bonnie loves attention and bonds quickly with her people. She’s happiest when she’s being showered with affection or, hilariously, helping with the laundry! One of her cutest habits is putting her paws on the hamper and pulling clothes out—she insists on being part of the folding process. If you’re looking for a loyal, fun-loving pup with a gorgeous face and a personality to match, Bonnie is your girl. She’s ready to bring joy, laughter, and love to her forever home. Her adoption fee is $300 in-state and $550 out-of-state, which includes transportation. To see more pictures and videos, copy and paste this link. To apply directly for Bonnie click the "Apply for Adoption" button. https://www.shelterluv.com/embed/animal/FODS-A-651 All our dogs come with 30 days of free post-adoption support through Petcademy.org. This benefit includes free access to Petcademy’s team of trainers/behaviorists, as well as access to online materials that will help you settle your new family member into your home. You can text unlimited questions to Petcademy and they'll respond within 24 hours (Monday-Friday).
