Story
Looking for a Loving Home for Our Sweet St. Bernard 🐾 It breaks our heart to write this, but due to changes in our space and time, we are looking to find a loving, permanent home for our 8-year-old purebred St. Bernard. He is an absolute gentle giant with a wonderful heart. Here are a few quick details about him: Great with kids: Gentle, patient, and loves being around family. Well-mannered: Fully potty-trained and knows basic commands. Personality: A huge fan of cuddles, head pets, and just hanging out near his people. Because of his size, he does best with a home that has room for him to lounge comfortably. We love him deeply and are refusing to take him to a shelter—our top priority is ensuring he goes directly to a safe, caring environment where he can get all the attention and space he deserves in his senior years. Thank you

Story
Meet Forest! Forest is Shepherd mix with a heart as big as his name and a personality that's impossible not to love. This handsome boy is incredibly smart, eager to please, and picks up new things in no time. He's already making great progress with his house training and has turned leash walking into one of his favorite activities—he's a natural! He is also learning to fetch, and has learned the commands "stay" and "shake"! One of the sweetest things about Forest? When his foster family sits down for dinner, he doesn't beg for a bite. Instead, he curls up under the table at their feet and peacefully naps, happy just to be close to his people. Forest is a gentle soul, too. He recently met a curious 2-year-old neighbor and was calm, patient, and never once got nippy with her tiny fingers, showing he has all the makings of a wonderful family dog. He's also great with his foster sibling, who is a senior, 10lb dog. He plays at his level, inviting him with gentle pawing. At bedtime, Forest happily sleeps through the night on a dog bed beside his foster family's bed. While he's still getting used to his crate, he settles in well for a few hours at a time and continues to build confidence every day. This sweet boy is very people-oriented and forms strong bonds with those he loves. Because he's such a social pup, he'd do best with a family where someone is home often, another playful canine companion, or a routine that includes doggy daycare once he's old enough. Forest thrives on companionship and simply wants to be part of the action. If you're looking for a loyal best friend who is affectionate, gentle, eager to learn, and happiest by your side, Forest is ready to grow up with you. All he needs is a family to call his own! ❤️🌲 NEXT STEPS: Complete our quick adoption form by copying and pasting this link into your browser: https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/FBF/Dog Or visit footbridgefoundation.org and follow the adoption prompts.

Story
Meet Koda – A Gentle Giant with a Playful Side Koda is a handsome 2.5-year-old Anatolian Shepherd mix weighing about 50 pounds, and he is the perfect combination of calm companion and playful best friend. With his gentle nature and easygoing personality, Koda brings a peaceful presence wherever he goes. One of Koda’s favorite activities is spending time with his people. He loves to snuggle, relax nearby, and simply be part of the family. He is fully potty trained, settles nicely into home life, and has wonderful house manners. Koda also walks beautifully on a leash, naturally matching your pace and making daily walks enjoyable and stress-free. While Koda enjoys quiet time, he also has a fun-loving side. He absolutely loves to play and would be thrilled to have another friendly dog in the home to wrestle, romp, and share adventures with. He gets along well with other dogs and enjoys having a canine companion to help bring out his playful spirit. Koda has also lived successfully with cats and has even been caught playing with their toys, proving just how easygoing and adaptable he can be. He does experience some carsickness on longer trips, but this is easily managed with Dramamine when needed. Because of his gentle and sensitive nature, Koda would thrive in a calm home without small children, where he can enjoy a predictable routine and plenty of companionship. As an Anatolian mix, Koda can be protective of his home and may resource guard his space with unfamiliar visitors. For this reason, he needs an adopter who understands guardian-breed traits and is willing to manage introductions appropriately and advocate for his success. Koda is neutered, fully vaccinated, microchipped, and current on flea, tick, and heartworm prevention. He is being fostered in a home in Seguin, Texas. If you're looking for a loyal, affectionate dog who loves both snuggles and playtime, Koda may be the perfect addition to your family. To see more pictures and videos, copy and paste this link.
