Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Hello potential families, my name is Baten Kaitos. I am named after a giant k star and it only fits because I’m a giant puppy.    I’m less than a year old and was an owner surrender to local shelter. I was a surrender at no fault of my own, the human who had me before loved me, however they enlisted in the military and couldn’t keep me. Because I was an owner surrender, we do have a little bit more information about me. I am half St Bernard x half Golden Retriever. I respond to the name Bart.    My foster mom says that I am the happiest puppy on earth. I’m really bouncy and I love to jump. I’m trying to learn not to jump but I feel like it’s the only way I can give hugs. A puppy training class would do wonders.    A few things I’d like to brag about I already know how to do. I already know how to sit, lay down and give paw.    I do wonderful with other dogs, cats and horses. I am currently scared of birds, I saw a goose and a turkey and it really frightened me. My foster mom says that even though I was scared of them, she believes I could learn to live peacefully with any birds too, I might just need some emotional support to build up my confidence. My mom calls me a GENTLE GIANT    I have a loud voice, so apartment living would not be suited for me.    Since I have arrived in my foster home, I haven’t had a single accident. I’m 100% potty trained.    I don’t mind sleeping in my crate at night, however during the day I hate to be in my crate. My foster mom isn’t sure why, but I can tell you why. I  just want to be next to my humans, if you work from home or can bring a doggie to work, that would be pawfect.    Last but not least, I love hiking, love water and already have been working on off leash skills and have pretty decent recall for a giant puppy.    I am pretty great with kids too, however I jump. So depending on how committed you are to helping me understand I shouldn’t jump, would equal if I could be adopted by a family with kids. I sure do love kids, however I wouldn’t want to knock them over.    If you’d like to meet me, apply here https://bit.ly/RRAdoptionApplicationVisit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.June 9, 2025, 5:08 pm
