Story
Meet Kira 💛 Kira is a truly special girl. She was born blind and bravely navigates the world one step at a time. Despite this, she is incredibly sweet with people and absolutely lives for belly rubs. Kira has done well living with a cat, but she struggles with other dogs. Because she can feel insecure around them—likely due to her blindness—she has been involved in a few scuffles. For her comfort and safety, Kira will do best as the only dog in the home. She walks nicely on a leash when wearing her gentle leader and is very responsive to commands, especially her “here” cue. While she does bump into things occasionally, Kira is smart, eager to listen, and gains confidence with reassurance. Kira has enjoyed outings to hospitals, hardware stores, and other public places, where she does wonderfully as long as she’s with people she knows and trusts. She also has experience around farm animals and pays them no mind at all. Breed experience is a plus. If you have a calm home, patience, and a big heart for a big special-needs dog, Kira would love to meet you. Apply today to give this amazing girl the safe, loving home she deserves. **Kira's adoption fee has been sponsored in full by a generous donor**

Story
Hello! This is Jacksen. He is a 2-3 year old St. Barnard mix with a very gentle spirit. He came from Texas like a lot of other dogs do. He was found wandering in traffic there with his brother and transferred up to Colorado. This guy is so gentle and very sensitive. He has a cat for a friend and they get along great. Jacksen does have some trauma that seems to make him skiddish around people he doesn’t know. He loves to go on walks and is learning how to pace himself . He does have a fear of vehicles which we are working through and hope to have him comfortable with getting into our truck via a ramp soon. He has a congenital slight misformed rear leg that he was born with. It doesn’t affect his activity level, running or playing. That said, this boy needs more exercise than we are able to give him as we are in the process of relocating to another state.

Story
Ashley is an absolutely stunning purebred Armenian Gampr which is a very ancient breed that you don't see a lot in the United States. She is the most fun loving positive girl you have ever met, she literally has a happy bounce in every step! She is so happy to meet every kid and person she comes across. She is very large and very strong so she needs an owner that can handle her size and excitement. We rescued her from a high kill shelter in southern California and she is currently with a foster very close to Cheyenne Wyoming. We are looking for a pet home for her, we don't want her being an outside only livestock guardian. We don't think she was ever around livestock until very recently we have introduced her to out dwarf goats and kune kune pigs. She has been going out with them for about 2 weeks now and she has left them alone so far. She has been fine with a lot of different dogs but she is the best with playful male dogs, she has been fine with some females but she definitely couldn't live with another dominant female dog period. We don't think she would be good with cats. She is great in the house, she is also crate trained and really likes her crate. She loves her stuffy toys and never destroys them. She is spayed and up to date on all shots. If the ad is up, she is available so please tell us about yourself if your interested. We do require a home visit.
