Story
I am Puddin & I spent a lot of time writing my bio & hope it helps you get a peak into who I am versus judging me in how I look. While I love my foster family & they love me, I really yearn for a family to call my own. About a year ago, I was shot in the mouth & found myself abandoned on a porch in rural Alabama. I had reconstructive surgery & then I made my way through rescues to Little Rock, & now I’ve been waiting for my forever home for over a year. I love my foster family more than anything, but I know that finding my own family means I can help other dogs find a loving home, too by opening up a spot in my foster family’s home. And honestly, I also want my very own home so I don’t have to share so much attention. My favorite thing in the world? My yellow llama toy, which I love to toss around! I also really want to be friends with the cat in my foster home, but I've learned to keep my distance because he sometimes bops me on the head. My foster canine siblings told me there is a reason he was named Monster, so we are all afraid of him. My foster dad thinks it’s super cute that I have really short legs that seem to be double jointed that can go out sideways when I am playing. He says it adds to my cuteness but it also boggles his mind how weird I can move them when I play. On the note of my play style, I play pretty rough, so I think I’d do best as the only dog in the house. My foster family thinks I’m the funniest, silliest, and sweetest dog they’ve ever had in rescue—and I promise that's not an exaggeration! I love walks but my foster mom said I have to stop walking myself with the leash in my mouth so I am trying hard to have more self control and let them hold my leash while we walk. They diagnosed me with something called ICS (Impulse Control Syndrome) when it comes to stealing leashes. I love to steal them and collect them at the front door. I just figure the more leashes I drag to the front door, the more they will understand I am telling them I want to go for a walk. I also love to be dramatically sneaky when I see my foster mom by a leash and I sort of tip toe up to it like I am invisible and grab it and run dragging the leash behind me into my foster dad’s office. I know she will follow me so it’s a great way to steal her away from everyone else in the house and get my own attention. I also love little treats, especially tiny bits of pork loin on my food. Another thing you should know is that I’m really scared of thunderstorms. When I find my new family, I’d love a cozy spot in a dark closet to lay on a pillow during those storms. I know my mouth looks a little unusual after being shot, so I might look a little scary, but I hope people can see how beautiful I am inside and out. I’ve gone from just 55 pounds when I was found to a solid 74 pounds now, and my brindle coloring shines in the sun! My foster mom and dad tell me how beautiful I am all of the time despite how my mouth looks. I hope this helps you get a peak into who I am versus judging me in how I look. I sure hope I find my forever family soon.

Bubba Gump may be a cool name, but I am a COOL GUY! Well when I was found on the streets I was HOT...BURNING HOT:( My paws had burned by the concrete in the sweltering summer heat of San Antonio. That is where my story turns to healing and love.... No one knows what my younger life was like, but my body bear the scars of poor nutrition and neglect. My soul was weary but had not given up!! Story
Daisy is a wonderful dog that was dumped on our road about a year ago. Our vet believes she was a puppy mill momma who did not perform well and was therefore abandoned on the side of the road. She can be playful and energetic in very short bursts, but her main aspiration is to be someones loving couch potato. Our best guess is she is about 3 years old. Daisy loves other dogs. She does not love other furry creatures and needs to be in a dogs only family. While we have done our best with making sure she gets vet care, food and shelter, our hope is she finds a home where she can get all the love and attention she deserves.
