Apply to Adopt Me! Who doesn’t love a diva! Meet Raven, our diva extraordinaire. Raven is a sweet, 6-year-old lady who is kid and people friendly. She is such a diva that she wants to be the only fur queen in the home. But that’s ok, she is all the diva anyone needs. She is a Staffy mix and weighs approx. 60 lbs. But don’t tell her! She’s been on a diet and trying to watch her figure. Miss Raven is housebroken, does well in a crate, and walks well on a leash - but hang on if she sees a squirrel! She's not so partial to toys, but loves a good chew bone. She has not been around cats in our rescue, but due to her urge to chase squirrels, we don't think she would do well with cats. Did we mention she was given up because her owner was moving and had a date with the vet for her to be euthanized the next day? Sadly, it’s true. But we couldn’t let that happen!  Raven is so ready for her forever, loving home - can you be her special someone? If so, and you live in the Central Florida (Orlando) area, please complete an application and tell us more about you. May 1, 2024, 9:43 pm

Story
What to say about Bree. Bree was pulled from animal services after being there since 11/22//22. Over a year she was held as evidence in a cruelty case along with 24 other dogs seized from that property. She has had a very rough life for only being 4 yrs old. Bree is timid at first around people but does not have a mean bone in her body! She is gentle and so very sweet. Bree is very active, enjoying not being confined in a shelter or breeding cage. At 4, I would guess she was bred every time she came into season. She is now spayed and does not have to worry abut that anymore. Right now she seeks affection from me when I am sitting down but sometimes gets scared when I approach her standing up. You can see by her ears that she has had very rough treatment by people, but still tries to trust. Bree is smart and curious. She is up to date on all shots and microchipped. She sometimes pulls on the leash but not terribly hard. Bree has also taken quite the shine to Bear, another foster dog here. You can see her holding his hand in the last picture! Bree would do well in a home with other dogs to pay with. She has a rough and rowdy play style. While she is safe around kids, older kids that can approach her quietly would be best. It cannot be seen in the pics, but from having do many litters, she does have quite a bit of mammary sagging. If you have any questions or would like to meet Bree please do not hesitate to contact us. If you are interested in possibly adopting her with Bear, that would be amazing. Both are deserving of the very best lives. I forgot to mention that Bree is a water baby and would love a pool to play and splash about in!!

Story
Max is a 3 yr old pit bull. He’s been neutered, is crate trained and trained on basic command. He’s SUPER friendly, very playful and has A LOT of energy. He has never shown any aggression towards kids or adults. He has shown food aggression once or twice with our other pups. He does get along with other dogs but we feel he may likely fit best in a home where he’s the only pet. We’re not sure how he would be with cats as he’s never interacted with them. He loves playing with kids & has played well with kiddos around 8+ year old. His behavior is great with younger kids too, just doesn’t quite know how to play with them. The perfect home for him would also have a fenced in yard where he can run. He loves to be outside running and playing. He would not fit well in a home where the family isn’t home much because of his energy level.

Story
I recently offered to help a dog in a very bad situation. Someone posted on Facebook that their father was threatening to kill their dog or drop her off somewhere in her crate. In order to get her out of a dangerous situation, I offered to provide temporary help until a permanent home is found. I don’t know much about the dog as she is not mine, however, the owner states she is a 3-year-old female Staff Terrier. She is good with kids, dogs, cats, and crate trained. She is not spayed, but I am able to help with this if needed. I would love to keep her, but I have 3 dogs of my own and our homeowners association will not allow more. I just couldn’t let this innocent dog be killed due to a careless owner. Please help me find this sweet baby her forever, loving home that she deserves.
