Hi, my name is Joy — and I live up to it. I’m a sweet, soulful, loyal girl who bonds deeply with my person. I love being near the people I trust, going on walks, and settling in once I know I’m safe. I’m affectionate without being overwhelming, observant, and emotionally tuned-in. When I connect with someone, I really connect. I do best in a calm, stable environment with someone who understands dogs and appreciates a companion who forms a true one-on-one bond. I’m not chaotic or hyper — I’m thoughtful, sensitive, and devoted. I thrive with consistency, patience, and kindness. I’ve had a few transitions in my life, and because of that, I need a home that’s committed and grounded. Once I feel secure, I’m incredibly loving and loyal. Story
I rescued LT from a temporary foster home because they were unable to adequately care for her at 6 months old. She was born sometime around September of 2024. I'm searching for LT's forever home because since my partner and her 1.5 year old child moved in with me, her normally endearing energy levels combined with my increased hours at work (Active Duty US Navy) for pre-deployment preparation have made it unfair for her that she spends so much time alone and is therefore much more hyperactive when we do have time at home. This sweet, loving, and energetic young lady a forever home that can give her all she deserves. She is trained in several commands, responsive to training in general (treat motivated), and is perfect for active lifestyles or fenced in yards. It's been a difficult decision but the best thing for her and my family is to find her a better home.

Story
Rascal was adopted from city shelter August 2025. We got him through heartworm treatment and is now recovered. We are older couple and used to our old hound who was easy going and passed away last year. Wanted to fill that void of caring for a pet, but Rascal has proven to be too much for us. He is very affectionate, won’t bite, but needs some behavioral training. He knows sit, but not other basic commands. He would be happier in a more active home with another dog and older kids, in a secure yard. He enjoys chew toys and chewing up stuffies. We are in our 70s and can’t offer him the attention he needs. He’s a great handsome boy that reserves more to life for a young dog.

Adopted from city shelter in August. Completed heart worm treatment and ready for activity. Wanted an older calmer dog. Rascal is sweet, but has too much energy for me and my boyfriend. We are in our late 70s. He may do better in a more active environment with another dog and kids. He is playful and affectionate. Crate trained. Comes with crate, toys, food container/bowl.
