Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Leon is a fun, friendly boy! He is estimated to be about 1 ½ years old. He loves kids and loves his female foster dog sibling. We are not sure how he would do with male dogs or cats because he hasn’t been around them yet. Leon captures everyone’s hearts everywhere he goes and is such a great boy! All he needs now is his forever family. Leon is currently in a foster home and below is a little bit of what his foster mom had to say about him. “Leon is probably one of the easiest ones that I’ve fostered. He just loves life. Tail is always wagging. Loves it inside, loves it outside. Let us give him a bath and cut his nails. Sleeps in his crate all night - not even a peep! Enjoys being with you but also can entertain himself with a good stuffed animal. He’s just happy no matter what he’s doing. He’s pretty perfect and anyone that adopts him will be lucky!”Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.April 22, 2024, 3:49 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Halle is a very sweet girl. She has a beautiful sleek coat and is dainty in her movements. Super loving once you give her a chance to get used to you. When we first got her she was very scared, army crawling everywhere.. She lacked confidence. Halle would need slow introductions to animals and humans. If you are someone that is patient and confident in your ability to handle dogs, Halle is the girl for you. I promise once you give this amazing girl a chance you won't be able to let her go.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.April 22, 2024, 3:49 pm

Story
Fancy, born May 2020, is a beautiful Staffy mix that is stunning inside and out. Named for the Reba McEntire song, Fancy was found giving birth to a litter in an abandoned shack. Saved by her foster, she has remained without a forever home long after all her nine pups were adopted. Fancy is a fabulous dog with an outgoing playful personality. Affectionate and submissive, she is wonderful with everyone she meets. Fancy is all butt-wags and smiles and so much fun. This pup is incredibly bright and eager to learn. She adores children both big and small and enjoys being with other dogs. Cats, however, are not a good fit. Fancy is a considerate housemate and both housebroken and crate trained. She would enjoy having a large fenced in backyard. Fancy is fully vetted and anxious to be with a family of her own. Are you ready to give this sweet girl a home?To adopt this pet, please go to hsnwga.org, 'Adoption' then 'Application for Adoption', to complete an online application to be preapproved. Story
Meet handsome Jonas! Don't you just love his ears?! Jonas ended up at the shelter as a lost boy on 2/7, and no one has come to reclaim him. The volunteers have enjoyed getting to know Jonas and they describe him as friendly and energetic! He LOVES treats and will sit nicely for them! We think Jonas will be a quick study as long as treats are involved. If you're looking for a hiking/running buddy, please consider Jonas! Jonas is approximately 4 years old, and he weighs 47 lbs. He is UTD on vaccines, tested negative for heart worms and he has been neutered. He will be microchipped upon adoption. Please come meet him in run 803; his ID # is 653530. Please note, all of the pet listings on Friends of Shelter Animals for Cobb are done by volunteers, not shelter staff. If this pet came in as lost (not an owner surrender), we don't know how they might be with children, other pets, or if house trained. You can bring your pet to the shelter for a meet & greet with your potential new best friend. When calling the shelter about a cat or dog, please use THE ID NUMBER, names are oftentimes made up by volunteers. This pet and many others are available for adoption from the Cobb County Animal Shelter 1060 Al Bishop Dr. Marietta, GA 30008, call (770) 499-4136 for more information. Shelter hours are: Tues. - Sun. 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m, CLOSED Mondays & Holidays. The shelter prefers people to make an appointment, go to - https://nqa3.nemoqappointment.com/Booking/Booking/Index/as65fg9dr953 and select Adoption. You can also show up between 10:30 & 4:00 Tues. thru Sun. (shelter closes at 4:30), you might have to wait a few minutes until someone can help you. The adoption includes shots, altering, a heartworm or combo test and a microchip. When you book an appointment, it doesn't reserve a particular pet for you. Thank you for considering a Cobb pet!
