Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Well, hello there! My rescue name is Onix, but my foster mom has lots of nicknames for me. Some of my favorites are: Mr. McLovin', Sweet Boy, Little Man, and Mr. Melon! As you can imagine from my nicknames, I am a very nice boy. I really love people and like to be around them. I will follow you as you go about your day; that makes me happy. I am a snuggly guy and laying on the couch next to you with a toy is my dream come true. The resident dog doesn't appreciate my play style. Since he's taller than me, I like to try to jump on his back, which he gets tired of. But, I don't get offended in any way and I never bark or growl at him. I just keep trying to play with him. I know my play partner is out there somewhere! I like other dogs and if I don't have another dog in my forever home, I sure would like to play with other dogs every once in a while. My foster mom has to wipe my face, because I do drool sometimes. You see, I have the biggest pit bull smile around, and sometimes stuff leaks out! So, if you are a fastidious housekeeper, you might get frustrated with that. I also am on allergy medicine right now because when I came into rescue, my skin was irritated. Better food and my medicine (which I readily take in a piece of cheese) has gotten me feeling much better. I hope I might be able to just be on Benadryl in the future, but we'd have to talk about that. I think car rides are the absolute best and I will try my best to come along whenever you go anywhere. I am a good rider - I like to look out the window. Speaking of good, I'm also really good at kenneling. I don't mind my kennel at all, and I don't fuss when I'm in there. I keep it nice and clean. I got to see a real live kitty the other day! I just stared at it, trying to figure out what it was. My foster mom wasn't too worried, because she told me I don't seem to have any "prey drive", whatever that means. Also, I do listen to you, so I take correction pretty well and could probably co-exist with a kitty just fine. Well, that's about all for now, I sure hope to meet you soon! Onix weighs 57lbs and is from a local impound. If you are interested in getting to know this animal better, please fill out an adoption application.
