Story
Little Bit is a short, gentle sweetheart with a mellow personality. She came to us as a mama of 6. She loves to romp around the pasture with other dogs, mainly minding her own business. She enjoys attention from people and leans against you for pets. She walks well on a leash and likes to ride in a car. Little Bit is waiting for some one-on-one attention from a person looking for a best friend. Could that be you?FOCCAS is a foster based, non-profit rescue in Crossville, TN. Rocky needs to get fat!! He was saved from a neglect situation but he holds no grudge! Friendly with people and dogs. Very approachable. Housetrained. Crate trained. Very active and wants to play and run, would fit great in an active family with children that have a wide stance (that can stand a little jumpy lovin) Learning about car rides but definitely not loving them yet. Likes toys, likes to chase a toy but won't bring it back. Loves treats. Plays great with other dogs. Very happy dog. Will make you laugh with his facial expressions. Just a goofball. Story
Hey there, I'm Chance, and everyone says I'm the best boy around. Giving hugs is my superpower, and it brings so much happiness to my friends here. Right now, I'm in a foster home, but I'm on a quest to find a family who'll love me forever. I'm the type who loves to bask in the limelight, so I'm hoping to find a home where I can be the one and only furry friend. I promise to fill your life with all the love and attention you could ever want. I've faced some tough battles in my past, including heartworms. But guess what? I fought hard and won! Though it left me with some heart issues, I'm a champ and take my medication like a pro. And don't worry, there's help available to cover part of the medication cost. Now that I've overcome those challenges, I'm more than ready to embark on new adventures with you. Whether it's snuggling on the couch, going for walks, or just sharing life's simple pleasures, I'm your go-to companion. If you're seeking a loyal, loving friend who'll be by your side through thick and thin, I'm here and eager to become a part of your family! If you are interested in adopting me, please email eclaridge@angelsofassisi.org to set up a time to meet me!

Story
Meet Cosmopolitan! Cosmopolitan is a 2-year-old, 61-pound gentle girl with a soft, thoughtful nature. She walks nicely on leash with only mild pulling at times and carries a mostly low-energy vibe, though she’ll occasionally surprise you with a playful burst to chase a ball. Toys are still a bit of a mystery to her, but she’s curious and seems interested in figuring them out with the right encouragement. She’s housetrained, rides well in the car, and shows lovely manners—especially around people food, which she respectfully ignores while you eat. She’s very treat motivated, making her a great candidate for continued training. She can be a little snatchy when taking treats, so offering them on a flat palm helps her succeed. She also has the most endearing little grunts and snorts that add extra charm to her already lovable personality. Cosmopolitan is affectionate and truly enjoys closeness, happily cuddling on the couch once she feels safe. She seems to be new to the idea of being a cherished indoor companion and is still getting used to all the perks that come with being a loved pet, which makes watching her blossom all the more special. She can be timid and unsure in a home environment at first, so she’d thrive with an experienced owner who understands decompression time, reads canine body language well, and can support her as she builds confidence. She communicates clearly when she’s uncomfortable and does best with someone who respects her signals and helps her feel secure. Because of her sensitive nature, she likely wouldn’t enjoy busy, high-traffic public spaces. For someone patient and understanding, Cosmopolitan will be an incredibly rewarding companion—a tender, loving girl ready to blossom in a calm and caring home. As always, we strongly recommend that resident dogs meet any new potential canine family members. If bringing a resident dog for a dog to dog test, please bring proof of Rabies, DHPP, and Bordetella vaccines. To meet your new pet, come to Guilford County Animal Services between 12 and 4 any day except Tuesday!

Story
I have had Luna for 4 years now, since she was a puppy up until now. She is a good girl, quite stubborn but very sweet she listens she’s very gentle, intelligent and active. Shes great with kids even little kids, cats and big dogs, she is not good with little dogs she plays too rough with them. However, she’s good with cuddles and in need of lots of love. I would like Luna to be with a loving family or someone that needs emotional support.
