Story
Minnie is an adorable 7-year-old, 12-pound Poodle who recently joined Friends for Life when a change in her family’s daily life and routine meant they could no longer care for her. Through no fault of her own, Minnie is now looking for a forever family ready to begin her next chapter!Don’t let the number seven fool you—Minnie still has plenty of play in her! This friendly little lady enjoys having fun, meeting people and being part of the action. She also seems very interested in meeting other dogs and may enjoy having a compatible canine companion in her new home. With her beautiful Poodle coat comes a little maintenance, so Minnie’s new family should be prepared to keep her looking and feeling fabulous with regular grooming. At just 12 pounds, Minnie is a perfectly portable little companion with a friendly personality and a playful spirit. She may not have expected to be searching for a new home at this stage of her life, but she’s ready to put the past behind her and find a family who will love her for all the years ahead.Minnie can’t wait to meet her forever family—could it be yours? To get started on the adoption process, visit https://azfriends.org/testing/adopt.html to complete an adoption consultation form, and then stop by the Adoption Center to meet with one of our adoption counselors. Or you can just come and see us and fill out a consultation form upon arrival! No appointments are necessary and you can come and see us any time we are open. Please go to our website (www.azfriends.org) to fill out a consultation form then come and see us! We do require any family interested in meeting our dogs or cats to fill out a consultation form – this form helps us determine if the dog/cat and the home are a good match, since it is so easy to fall in love with a photo, without knowing the personality of the animal. Once you have filled out the online Adoption Consultation Form, just come in and see us (or come and see us and fill out the consultation form upon arrival)! Please note that ALL dogs and cats are available to the first home that meets the dog or cat that we feel is a good match. In the event there is more than one home interested in the same animal, a lottery may be held that will include all families that are at our adoption center at the time we open the day the animal becomes available. In order to help make the best match, we do want all family members (dogs and humans) to meet any potential new family member. Our adoption center hours are: Closed Sunday/Monday; Tuesday 10a-2p, Wednesday 3p-7p, Thursday 3p-7p, Friday 10a-2p, Saturday 10a-4p. We are located at 952 W Melody Avenue in Gilbert (zip code 85233).All animals are altered, vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, licensed (dogs). Cats tested for FELV/FIV. Dogs tested for Heartworm. All animals are available to the first family that is a good match, and if we have more than one animal who is a good match, there will be a lottery for all matches. Note that families must have come in to our adoption center and spoken with an adoption counselor prior to any lottery (when we have lotteries, they usually occur on Saturday mornings).
