Story
Hi- I’m Boomer! I came from a breeder that was shut down. I am 4 years old and weigh about 25lbs. I am a mini poodle and even have my AKC registration. I am very well behaved, walking great on leash and even knowing some of my Basic commands. I prefer to keep my kennel clean- so we would just need to work together on a schedule and proper communication. I can be a bit bossy with other dogs sometimes- so would probably be best as an only dog; but we could always do a meet and greet and see how it went.My $550 adoption fee includes vet exam, up to date vaccines, neuter, deworming and preventatives while in our care, heartworm test (negative) and microchip. If you are interested in adopting me, please complete a free, non-binding application at www.gofar.dog under Adopt. If you have questions, email my rescue at adoptions@gofar.dog. If you'd like to experience all the love I have, and want to make me part of your family, please complete the adoption application by pasting this link into your browser: https://service.sheltermanager.com/asmservice?account=sm2546&method=online_form_html&formid=21

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Rocco (white) and Lola (black) are a beautiful, loving, bonded pair of 4-year-old goldendoodles. They both love to cuddle and play. Rocco is obsessed with playing fetch. He is very agile and smart. Lola isn’t as interested in balls. She prefers cuddles. They are very well behaved. They do like to watch out the window and bark at anything going on outside. They get along with other female dogs but Rocco is dominant and does not like other males. They know basic commands and are generally quiet, calm dogs. They do pull on the leash but with some training, they will be great. We don’t know how they are with cats or young children. They would be a precious addition to any family. Story
Hi I'm Cooper! I'm an absolutely adorable Cavapoo puppy surrendered with a group of other dogs from a breeder. I am estimated at 2 years old and weighed at around 14lbs as of the end of April. My rescue was told I'm a cavalier/poodle mix and I do look the part! I am very shy yet, so will need an adopter that will be patient with me as I get comfortable in my new home. I will need help with my potty training and leash training . I would do best with another dog in the family as it helps me be more comfortable. I get scared easily around a lot of noise, so looking for a quiet household with no young kids. Guardians of Florida Animal Rescue gave me the medical and general care I needed so I can now be ready to find my new forever home.My adoption fee is $450 and includes vet check, deworming, up to date vaccines, initial grooming, microchip, dental (early July) and neuter. If you are interested in adopting me, please complete an application at www.gofar.dog under 'Adopt' at your earliest convenience as I'm told little ones like me get adopted very quickly! Please apply and do not call -- we are not able to return all voicemails! If you have questions, email my rescue at adoptions@gofar.dog. Story
Hello! My name is Wanika- My brother and I were found trying to fend for ourselves. We were extremely scared! Once we came to Guardians, we started learning how nice people really can be. They have helped us become more social and confident. We now walk pretty good on leash and take treats gently. I don’t seem to mind other dogs, but a meet and greet with existing family pets is always best. I look to be a poodle mix- possibly with Labrador or Portuguese water dog?I am estimated at about 1yr old and weigh around 50lbs. I was born with one of my back legs slightly shorter than the other- so when I walk, it looks like I am limping a little. I went and saw the doctor and they said there wasn’t any damage, it’s just how my bones grew- but that it made me extra special because it made me unique? While I’m not crazy active, I would like a family where there are lots of walks and activities for us to do together. My $350 adoption fee includes vet exam, up to date vaccines, heartworm test (negative), spay, deworming and microchip. If you are interested in adopting me, please complete a free, noon-binding application at www.gofar.dog under Adopt. If you have questions, email my rescue at adoptions@gofar.dog. Story
I'm only six months old, but sometimes it feels like I've already lived a lifetime. I was born in a place where dogs like me were expected to make puppies. I don't remember anyone holding me just because they loved me. I don't remember toys, soft beds, or someone whispering that I was a good girl. Life was about surviving. Then one day, everything changed. The breeder was closing down, and I was loaded into a car. I didn't know where I was going. I was scared, dirty, and didn't feel very good. My little body was in rough shape, and I wondered if anyone would even want a tiny puppy like me. That's when I met the people at Max's Ark Rescue. They didn't look at how matted I was or how frightened I felt. They looked into my eyes. They told me I was safe. For the first time in my life, someone cared if I was hungry. Someone made sure I saw a veterinarian. They gently cleaned me up, helped me feel better, and showed me that human hands could bring comfort instead of fear. Every day, I discover something new. A soft blanket is the most wonderful thing I've ever felt. A squeaky toy is pure magic. Treats are amazing! (I may do just about anything for one.) I love exploring every corner of the yard, making new dog friends, and even saying hello to cats. I'm curious about everything because the world is finally a place I'm allowed to discover. People tell me I'm clever, playful, affectionate, and adventurous. They laugh because I'm always trying to figure things out. I love being close to the people I trust, and my tail seems to have a mind of its own—it never stops wagging. I'm still learning that not every new experience is scary. Sometimes I need someone patient who understands that my first six months weren't like most puppies'. I've missed out on so many things, but I'm making up for lost time one happy day at a time. My past doesn't define me. It simply explains why my future means so much. Somewhere out there is a family who will see beyond where I came from and celebrate who I'm becoming. They'll understand that rescued hearts sometimes need a little extra patience—but they also have the biggest love to give. I've already survived the hardest part of my story. Now I'm ready for the best chapter. Could it be with you? Love, Izhy ❤️ Serious Adopters from Southern Lee County (Estero Area) and Collier County only.
